Gabrielle Dee Giffords, born June 8th, 1970, was a US representative from Arizona(2007 - 2012), and before her life changing experience in 2011 she was the youngest woman to be elected to the Arizona State Senate. Before she was elected into the House of Representatives she had sold her family’s tire business, El Campo Tire Warehouse, to Goodyear Tire. After making her way up to Arizona Senate, she resigned to run for US House of Representatives, and she was the third woman from Arizona to serve in the US House of Representatives.

Britney Antonia Corral was born on March 8, 2004 to Juan Corral and Dina Corral.

At 12:10 a.m. on June 13, 1994, the bodies of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman were found by Los Angeles Police brutally murdered. Steven Schwab, a neighbor of Nicole, was out with his dog late at night going for a walk. While they were walking, Schwab came across a dog with blood on its paws. The dog followed Schwab back to his house, neighbors of Schwab Sukru Boztepe and Bettina Rasmussen offered to keep the dog overnight. The dog, named Kato was barking and running around all night. The couple decided to let the dog out and see what he was so wound up about. Kato led the couple to Nicole's house where they found Nicole and her boyfriend, Ron, dead.

Katheryn Marie Hawkins was born in fort Knox Kentucky on December 29,1998, at Ireland military hospital where she was 81 lbs , 6 oz and 23 inches - normal delivery . she was the second child of Russell and Catania Hawkins . she spent her 1st 6 months at home with her mom but on the 7th month, she started daycare at little angels daycare . she loved it there and they loved her . her favorite food was strained Gerber peaches and strawberries . her favorite drink was milk . she learned how to walk and talk faster than her older brother and even began doing chores around the house by the time she was 2 .

It was a privilege to listen to Stephanie Garrison share her story and provide encouragement for our own lives. Personally, I found it very admirable how willing she was to share and be vulnerable. Anyways, Stephanie is currently in her 14th year at Southeastern and serves as the Assistant Athletic Director under Drew Watson. On May 30, 2005, Natalee Holloway disappeared while on a high school graduation trip to Aruba. She was a student at Mountain Brook High School, honor student and a member of the National Honors Society. Carrie Marie Underwood was born on March 10, 1983 to Stephen Underwood and Carole Underwood in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She grew up on a small farm with her two sisters, Stephanie U. Shelton and Shanna Underwood Means. Her father was a Sawmill worker in Oklahoma and her mother was an elementary school teacher. Infact Underwood’s parents almost named her Stacy and she grew up with a pet duck. Underwood always grew up listening to mostly country music, pop, and went to church with her family every Sunday.

Hurricane Katrina was a massive natural disaster that consisted of high powered winds and immense amounts of water. The hurricane was initially a category 3, but gradually rose to the classification of a category 5 storm, which is the largest storm there is (“Hurricane Irene”). Hurricane Katrina struck the city of New Orleans, Louisiana on August 29th, 2005. The events that followed would leave the whole nation in shock until this day. One of the major topics of discussion after this disaster was whether or not the government's slow reaction time had anything to do with the fact that New Orleans is sixty-seven percent African American. As helicopters circled a wasteland that was once a major tourist attraction, the racism of the Deep South, thought to be extinct, proved it was only dormant. Grew up on the Southside of Chicago, earned degrees from Princeton and Harvard Law School, married the man she loved, became the first black woman to be the First Lady of the United States, improved civil rights for people of color, and changed the face of feminism; these are some, but most certainly not all, of the accomplishments of the same woman, Michelle Obama. She is overall an inspiring woman to so many people that have had to struggle in life. She has done everything in her power to help those people lead a life of justice and equality that they otherwise, had been prevented from doing. Michelle Obama has achieved things most others with her upbringing could only dream of. She used her achievements to give those people a better chance. Hurricane Katrina was one of the deadliest hurricanes ever to hit the United States. Hurricane Katrina started out as any other hurricane, as the result of warm moisture and air from the oceans surface that built into storm clouds and pushed around by strong forceful winds until it became a powerful storm.
