Kevin Durant: 18,000 career points, 4x nba scoring champion, winner of the mvp, 2 olympic gold medals… No NBA Title. Kd knows what he wants and deserves a title. The hatred for KD needs to stop because he simply just wants a ring, has done a lot for the Okc Thunder in his time being there, and is a great person off the court. Kevin Durant has spent his last 8 seasons with the Okc Thunder making the playoffs, but never getting the ring he deserves. Kevin Durant has given Thunder fans plenty of excitement and hype in his time being there, just never getting that so very desired ring. It is understandable to see why Thunder fans are mad. They lost their best player who at least for the years to come might have been their only hope to a title. It was finally time for the generous and loving player Kevin Durant to start focusing on Kevin Durant and not the Okc fans or anyone else around him. …show more content…
Making buzzer-beating shots and leading the team to great years has been the legacy KD had left on the city of Okc. If he didn’t do as good as he did in his 8 years being there, nobody would care if he left the team or not. It is the fact that he is an amazing player and now it is very unlikely that the Thunder will win the Nba Title this year without him. KD has been a miracle to Okc, yet everybody is so mad about him moving to the Golden State Warriors that it has been overshadowed. It is understandable to not like him because he’s moving to a virtually unstoppable team, but there is a lot of love and respect built up for
I know you can argue that lebron is better because his ability to drive and take over a game single handedly, but Curry has by far been the best player in the league for 3 years now making it almost impossible to guard and also winning the mvp in one of those years and most likely winning the MVP this year and the NBA championships back to
In Westbrooks first year in the nba he recorded very good numbers averaging fifteen points per game with plenty of assists and rebounds to go along with them. Another achievement for Russell was making NBA all rookie first team. By Westbrooks third season he could officially be called a star in the nba leading his team to the 2011 western conference finals. Although Westbrook averaged quite a bit of points against the miami heat in this series it was no match for the heat’s super team. Later on after the playoffs Westbrook played for the USA men's basketball team and won his first olympic gold medal.
Durant entered the league a year before Westbrook did. They started their careers together and eventually became one of the most dynamic duos in the league. In 2012 they led their team to the NBA Finals against the Miami Heat but were blown out in five games. A union that lasted over eight years was finally over, Durant had a new home and was off to a new journey. Westbrook’s rampage began after hearing he signed with the Warriors. Westbrook was in disbelief, of all things Durant was a Warrior. He had left to the team that had just beat them. Many saw this as a downfall for the Thunder, but all
People like winners. Many have the philosophy that the underdog should win occasionally. In game of basketball, everyone loves a Cinderella story. Coach Mike Krzyzewski affectionately known as Coach K usually beats all who come in his path on the basketball court. Coach K teaches about life and leadership; his motto is
First Off, Kyle Korver is dominant. Kyle Korver has played for 8 teams and every team has enjoyed having him.Kyle Korver has a 50.8 percent shooting average his whole career that is the second best ever. His fifth on the list of the all-time made three-pointers made and is still rising. He is currently playing for the Cavs and is a vital piece for this team and was traded midseason. Kyle has been a three time all star two years as a starter and 1 year as a reserve. Kyle is arguably the best three-point shooter of all time behind Ray Allen.
Kevin Durant born September 29, 1988 is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association NBA. He has won an NBA championship, an NBA Most Valuable Player Award, the Bill Russell NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Award, the NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player Award, four NBA scoring titles, the NBA Rookie of the Year Award, and two Olympic gold medals. Durant has also been selected to seven All-NBA teams and nine NBA All-Star teams. Durant was a heavily recruited high school prospect who was widely regarded as the second-best player in his class. He played one season of college basketball for the University of Texas, where he won numerous year-end awards and became the first freshman to be named Naismith College Player of the Year. In 2007, he was selected as the second overall pick by the Seattle SuperSonics in the NBA draft. After his rookie season, the team relocated to Oklahoma City and became the Thunder.
All of that and the thought that the franchise made a lateral move at the draft is a bit premature and I'm partially to blame as well. I hadn't been too high on Jahlil Okafor in the pre-draft process, ranking him fifth on my big board, a decision the Sixers hope looks hilariously awful in just a few short seasons, playing up his defensive limitations and woes from the charity stripe and overlooking his deft footwork around the rim.
He changes the game. When Kevin Durant’s team is falling behind he can come in and change the whole aspect of the game. His team can be down by ten or more and he can shoot them right back into the game. He has a scorers mentality, and he is so good at scoring the basketball. He is a great rebounder and has the talent to play any position on the court. The offense can run through him. Kevin Durant is one of the best players to watch play basketball. He makes it look so easy to score.
Currently, he is a small forward for the Golden State Warriors. He was drafted in 2007 by the Seattle Supersonics. He was named the NBA Rookie of the Year, won two Olympic gold medals, and named the FIBA World Championship Most Valuable Player. In his 2008 season, Durant played in and started all 74 games and was ranked sixth in the NBA in scoring. In 2009, he was named First Team All-NBA, finished second in the MVP race, set a record with 756 made free-throws, and made his first career All-Star appearance. His 2010 season, he was named to the All-NBA First Team a second consecutive season, named Western Conference Player of the Week twice, and Western Conference Player of the Month twice. Also, he became the eleventh player in history to win the scoring title back-to-back. For the next six years, Durant had an amazing career with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Russell Westbrook until he decided he was going to leave his best friend and the only franchise he knew. In 2017, Durant decided he would stab his best friend in the back and join the Golden State Warriors because he wanted to win a championship ring. Most NBA announcers believed if he would have stayed with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Westbrook that they would have had a high chance in winning a ring anyway. Eventually, Durant’s dream came true when he won a championship ring in 2017. Kevin Durant’s dream came true, but many people wonder if it was worth ruining possible the best duo since Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, or even Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe
Kyrie is one of the best players in the NBA who would not want to meet him. In a regular game, he has 24.6 points that’s pretty good. His career total points are 7,696 points WOW. His FG % is .466 still pretty good. His 3p% is .383 not bad. Plus his team was in the finals the last 2 years and the Cavs are in it this year.
Kevin Durant is my favorite player because he strives in everything he does and I hope to be like him and strive in everything I do.
If one player was prominent and didn't want anyone on the team, then they were gone. Even if that player should most definitely be on the team. Now this is what happened between Isaiah Thomas and Michael Jordan. Jordan was like I said considered the best in basketball and so people listened to him because they needed him on the team. So when he said he didn't want to be any part of the team if Isaiah was gonna be on it. Suddenly Isaiah was out of the question. Isaiah was not some nobody player, he just got done leading the Detroit Pistons to NBA titles back to back (1989-90). He was an All Star, Finals MVP in 1990, holds the Pistons all time leading scorer, he leads in assists, steals, and games played. So long story short, Isaiah should have been on that team. Even some team members agree that Isaiah should have been on it. “Had Isaiah not been so unpopular among other players and committee members, he would've made the dream team” (McCallum,
Thank you for having me for the first couple seasons of my career. I had great success that led to multiple individual awards awarded to me from the league. But let me address this clearly. I ain’t no b*tch. I think it was time for me to get out of Oklahoma City because were not having success at all. We've made it to the conference finals or a deep run in the playoffs every year after my arrival but I think this isn't enough. I wanted to join the team that just beat us and form a superteazm that will dominate the league for the years to come. I wanted to join Golden State and form the most prolific and impossible team in NBA history. Im a superstar in this league and one of the best players in history, I deserve a ring and a legacy to be remembered
In preparation for next season, Danny Ainge needs to go out and find a player that will complement the other pieces that made up the 2015-2016 roster. Everyone knows this to be true, so why doesn’t Ainge make a big move? Let’s stop talking about Kevin Love. Let’s stop talking about Kevin Durant, too while we are at it.. Honestly I am sick of the radioheads, and the callers that love them, drop Love’s and Durant’s names all over the place when it is unlikely they will be flying into Logan
Dirk is one of the best superstars the league has ever seen, he’s down to earth, not really caring about who got the shine, he just wanted to win” Van Exel says.
