Kevin Hart: A Brief Biography

Kevin Durant was born on September 29, 1988 in Suitland, Maryland just right outside of Washington D.C. He was one of four children of Wanda Durant and Wayne Pratt, Kevin grew up loving sports along with his sister Brianna, and two brothers Anthony, and Rayvonne. His Grandma was a strong influence telling him even tho he was teased for being the tallest in class his height was a blessing.

Scott Kevin Walker was born in November 2, 1967 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Scott Walker mother Patricia Ann Walker was a bookkeeper. Llewellyn Scott Walker, the father of presidential candidate Scott Walker, was a Baptist minister. Scott Walkers family moved to Delavan, Wisconsin when he was 10 years old.

Michael Scott was the manager of Dunder-Mifflin, a paper company in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The employees in the office would describe him as inappropriate and childlike. He lived in Tupelo, Mississippi with is parents but they moved very frequently. Elvis was born into a family with very little money and was raised to be very humble. Presley loved his momma and really took up with her while growing up. While growing up his parents raised him to see the importance of God and church and to have strong faith in God. Elvis and his family attended the Assembly of God and the gospel music that was played really influenced Presley as a child.

Kevin Hart grew up in a Philadelphia Pennsylvania neighborhood that wasn’t at all that good. He lived in a house with his mother Nancy Hart, and older brother Robert Hart. His father is Henry Witherspoon but he is not an important part of Kevin’s life. Kevin's father was always on drugs and stealing peoples things, even his!!!

He was raised by his mother, Nancy, and is the youngest of two boys. His father, Henry Hart, battled with cocaine addiction and was in and out of jail, so he was rarely around during Kevin Hart’s childhood. However, since Kevin’s childhood, his father has cleaned himself up and the two of them have reconnected. Kevin Hart took to comedy as a way to relieve himself from all of his pain that he endured during his childhood. He used humor as a coping mechanism to make everyone laugh about the situations that he has been through. “The jokes,” he has said on his stand-up, “come from a real experience” (biography.com editors). As a kid, he was really into stand-up comedy and comedians. Hart named Chris Tucker and J.B. Smoove as the most influential comedians to him. Soon after he graduated from high school, he had begun to work as a stand-up comedian. He traveled to New York City, Brockton, Massachusetts and Los Angeles. He started off doing stand-up comedy in small clubs with his stage name as ‘Lil’ Kev the Bastard’. He won several amateur stand-up performances, which encouraged him to perform in clubs around the country.
