The star of House of Cards, Kevin Spacey, is well known as a famous screen actor and film director. In 2003, he eventually branched off from film and found his way becoming the artistic director of the Old Vic, one of London’s oldest theatres. Although it may seem like his transition from film to theatre was arbitrary, you could actually say it was something of familiar territory for him. In his early years, Spacey was originally sent to military school. However, after being expelled for bad behavior he transferred to Los Angeles' Chatsworth High School. There is where his interest in acting really began, and it is also where he started his inexpert drama career. According to biography.com, Spacey actually ended up graduating as co-valedictorian. He was then encouraged to go to Juilliard, a performing arts conservatory …show more content…
He performed in Richard III, a Shakespeare production directed by Sam Mendes. Through all the experience and training Spacey received in his lifetime, in this production he took his character to the next level so to speak. In Richard III, Spacey used technique acting to precisely portray his character as Richard. He worked on his outward appearance, like a humped back and twisted leg, in order to help the audience visualize Richard and understand how his scarred personality develops. As much as technique acting is the way to describe Spacey’s acting development for Richard III, he also didn’t fall short in exposing Richards’s emotional side during the production. I would say Spacey is somewhat of an in between of method and technique acting. I say this because during the time of Richard III death in the production, Spacey let the emotions of Richards sadness and loneliness prevail. This actually plays a major part in completing one of the themes of the show, which was Richard’s entitlement of being the

Ted Bundy You see him in the distance. Handsome and carrying a stack of books, he’s headed straight for you. Distracted by his smile, only the sound of those same books tumbling beside your feet unlock you from the trance. He seems too good to be true, and he is.

The social control theory would fit Ted Bundy’s reason for his crimes that he committed. This theory states that everyone has the same chance to commit crime and society can help lead people into committing crimes. People only obey the law because of personal belief, morality or religion. They may also obey because they have a reputation to protect and need to look good in society. But, when society does not hold them accountable, people feel free to break the law.
The media and people have always liked to portray killers in a different light by making them seem not as if they’re so corrupt, but simply just misunderstood. The moral behavior of serial killers is different than what a great deal of society agrees to, but to themselves, the morality doesn’t affect them (Zavaliy 365). To be exact, they’re shown as simply troubled and are just as much as people as anybody else. The media doesn’t seem to want to show that there was more to them than what seemed to be. Why is it that romanticizing serial killers is something that is common? Why not show these people’s true selves? By considering what goes into romanticizing a serial killer, finding out the reason as to why the public does this so interprets how altered the minds are.
Imagine a world of wendigos, skinwalkers, and baba yaga’s. Human looking, but not human. Sometimes it seems as though we do live in a world where people are not what they seem to be, but how can we know what makes a person a human? For what appears to be more than norm than the exception for this franchise, based on past viewings I have gone against the consensus on “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” Most people hate this movie. I actually thought it was good, lighthearted entertainment. After this rewatch, I agree with my assessment, although I do not hold it in as quite high esteem as I used to.
This year has been a rough ride for companies and people of all sorts. The same could be said for a Hollywood star, Kevin Spacey, he had been accused of sexual harassment. From an accusation from Anthony Rapp, you may know him from Star Trek Discovery or Rent, this is his story. In 1989 Kevin Spacey and Anthony Rapp became acquainted because they were both working on Broadway shows. At this time Anthony, who is only 14 year old, Spacey invites Rapp to a party at his apartment. When he got there, Rapp said he realized he was the only non-adult there and so he got bored and wandered into a bedroom, watching TV. Then well past midnight Spacey came to the door and Rapp realized that everyone else had left the party saying my memory was that, “Oh, everybody’s gone well, yah I should probably go home. Then Spacey sort of stood in the doorway kind of swaying. My impression when he
My father did an exemplary job in extracting an authentic yet profoundly discerning performance from his actors. David Tennant, known to many as “Doctor Who,” gives us a Hamlet who is brashly mad but penetrates our hearts with sorrow for his tragedy although some argue that his ludicrousness makes his acting less genuine.[3] Patrick Stewart, on the other hand, gives a stellar performance as King Claudius, making him shrewdly righteous and steadfast, allowing room for King Claudius to scrupulously execute his malignancy.
