The term hatred is a well-known term as well as experienced vice. It is a vice because it is likely to result in harm or deprivation of individual rights. People tend to hate others or circumstances from time to time. One of the key drivers of hatred is selfishness. People may hate others just because they possess something better than them, and this is one of my characteristics. I tend to hate people who compete with me not just to get better outcomes but as a result of merely being ahead of me. I equally hate people who show hatred towards me. I am not the kind of person that will stick with the love your enemy slogan. If you hate me, I equally hate you. It is when my selfish desires get blocked that I ended up pursuing. I have come to realize
In the beginning the class we were assigned groups and as a whole we had to find the literal point or subject of the readings that were due for the day and relate them to identity, attitude, or prejudice. This was to allow us to prepare to write our second major essay we had for writing 1. We were assigned the Andrew Sullivan readings, “what’s so bad about hate?”. The short excerpt from the article stated various situations in which the actions were categorized as a regular crime or a hate crime. The author then continued to discuss how adding a hate crime just complicates the verdict because no one except the individual knows why they committed the crime. Throughout the reading as a group we categorized the reading as one of identity. Everyone
A society that is run by hate can cause total chaos and destruction within its society causing its people to be untrusting of the government and also question its power and authority due to a belief of a conspiracy of the government. This so called hatred that exists in society consumes it people with remorse and anger against this totalitarian, corrupt government that seeks power and control over its people and society, which can cause a major revolt of its society against the government to try to seek the truth and their individual rights. In the classic novel, “1984”, written by George Orwell, he writes about a society in the city of London, called Oceania, in which Big Brother is in control of the society in every aspect of the people’s lives. Some examples of the governments power over society is the ideology of thought crimes, the creation of Newspeak, and telescreens that watch over and invade the privacy of their people. A society that is based on hate cannot survive and support its society because a society must depend upon happiness and its people in order to survive so it can achieve true happiness and tranquility.
If one hates someone or something that means they have an intense dislike towards them. Sometimes this hate can be so large it can be an influence for mass destruction. We have learned, or even have seen examples of hate turning into something bigger throughout our history. These examples include the multiple wars, terrorist’s attacks, and genocides. Many of these incidents were drove by hate, and did not end well. What drives this hate? How can people turn on one another with just feeling hate towards them? The Holocaust being one of the many genocides in our history was indeed influenced by an intense dislike. That intense dislike was towards certain types of people it ended up taking multiple lives.
Hate groups such as the Creativity Movement, Kingdom Identity Ministries, and the Ku Klux Klan have a long history of racism, hatred, and radicalism. At first glance, a deep hatred towards a particular race or religious group seems to be the main, or only, reason that a person would join one of these groups, however, there are many factors aside from race that contribute to the decision to join a hate group. These additional factors include financial situations, the need to simplify a complicated reality, and a desire for acceptance or feeling of importance.
Hate plays a role in the life of many people today leading the argument whether hate is acceptable in everyday life. Hate allows nothing but pain and suffering to continue on and feuds to continue through time. Hate is a lifestyle, lived by the people of today's society that don't have the courage to stand up for what is right. Hate allows for people to persecute and discriminate without much reason or cause allowing for these people to not change their ideas and adapt to the world ahead. Hate is not acceptable and should not be tolerated, but in today's world this is a diminishing view as ideas of segregation of people by religion, race, ethnicity, culture and many other factors is very common. The argument should
There are 917 hate groups currently operating in the United States (Southern Poverty Law Center). While this may not seem like much, these groups target every possible racial, religious, and political affiliation that a person could have or be. The Ku Klux Klan is the immediate thought when it comes to a hate group, but their membership, between “5,000 and 8,000,” is tiny when compared to the Black supremacist group Nation of Islam, which has a membership number between “20,000 and 50,000” (Southern Poverty Law Center). Clearly, this makes for a far more serious issue, as all Americans are unjustly targeted. Just as these groups currently have a right to free speech, millions of Americans also have a right to be scared. This concept of the
Hatred becomes action not due to apathy or indifference, but when a person wishes to act. When people are willing to kill themselves for a cause it is not due to a whim or immature persecution complex, there must be much stronger factors involved. People willing to go this far... and to maintain that mentality for periods of time to organize an attack and carry it out have got more of a grudge than a mere shallow hatred of success or jealousy.
Reporting on hate rallies, is absolutely necessary because as Yasmin commented, it is newsworthy. If events such as these were not handled by the media, they would either go unnoticed by the public, or their representation would be handled solely by the hate group. Additionally, satire is effective to some degree in pointing out the flaws of these groups, but may not reach everyone in the audience. Some may prefer presenting the news seriously and unbiased. This allows for the facts to speak for themselves, giving the reader/viewer the ability to make their own judgement. Hatred is clearly hatred, and regardless of how far humanity advances it will always be present. Therefore, the best method to deal with it is to expose it, rather than ignore
Nnnnn. As a human being living among us on our beautiful God gifted planet for all. As a son, who was born into a Muslim and Christian family in The United States of America. As the President of a nation, who's not only responsible for over three hundred millions of us in fifty countries, including Hawaii, but also for the rest of the seven billions of us in different appearances, backgrounds, religions living around the world. His own loved ones are included. As a husband and as a father he made a hateful deal with Iran, without going to a peaceful war. The President of our country didn't make the deal all by himself either, other hateful countries around our beautiful planet were involved alongside of us. Many of our hateful representatives sat among ourselves, had dialogues, came up with an agreement, give our words to each other, signed some documents, shook hands, and deported towards our hateful loved ones living in our hateful countries
When I was in the 3rd grade I was walking to my classroom when someone said “I hate you!” I turned around and yelled at the person and said that was not very nice. The dictionary defines “hate” as “to dislike intensely or passionately;feel extreme aversion for or extreme hostility toward.” (Dictionary.com). However, the social meaning is: when you dislike someone/something a lot. (1) The first time the word hate was used was mentioned in religious scriptures like, The Holy Bible, Dhammapada, and the Koran. When people use this word it is usually in a negative
I think the hate is an important issue that needs to be resolved because hate has made people lose their lives in wars or acts that hurt people because of what people believe in or what they look like, for example World war 2 was targeted to certain people because of what they believed in , because of that 60 million people died which was 3% of the world population at the time and it was started with a group of people that hated. They were not the only ones another group of people also got targeted because there skin was not certain tone or color ,which resulted in them not getting rights that people with a different skin tone did, like not being able to vote, go to a certain school, or sit in a certain seat. People with power over someone or something tend to hate more like global leaders are all focused on building bigger and stronger bombs and building the best military which makes global leaders hate each other and making other people fight there wars resulting in countless deaths and they don't even realize there in the wrong and keep fighting and this has been going on for centuries and they still don't learn from there mistakes.
From the first moment of life infants drive of love and affection. Without such attention and infants help with dwindle and eventually lead to death or serve mental issues. If you take that same concept and spread it through all of society there is no question that there is no question that hate would destroy and cause unthinkable problems. A society based on love allows hate to be overcome. It provides a connection between strangers no matter their race or nationality or religious views. Taking love away and replacing it with hate would cause those connection to cease to exist and prevent any human connections to be made. Our society, just like the neglected infant would fail and die.
There is no point in hating thy enemy. Hatred and anger towards someone else can have a long lasting emotional and psychological effect. The hatred and anger goes beyond just hating and having anger towards that individual that hurt you. This emotion begins to spread and discharge toxic. The toxic takes over your life. You now begin to have hatred towards others; innocent others. You begin to create damage to one’s self and one’s life. The world is no longer the same. You allowed yourself to become trapped, and you will stay trapped. You will stay trapped because you chose not to forgive.
have nothing but hatred in this world? That is how I sometimes feel when I see
Hate is a learned behavior, but so is love. If we were to isolate ourselves from our hateful ways and move toward the loving ways, it will rub off on others. We need to learn how to unite together and teach our loved ones how to love one another despite our differences. As long hate is portrayed in the everyday scene, hate will be carried out by people. Thus, the saying, “Monkey see, monkey do!”.
