The Thurmond Rule is an informal and somewhat amorphous rule in the United States Senate regarding confirmations of judicial nominees. While it originated with former Senator Strom Thurmond's opposition to President Lyndon Johnson's nomination of Justice Abe Fortas to be Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in June 1968, the specifics of the rule vary between sources. Thurmond himself said that no lifetime judicial appointments should move in the last six months or so of a lame-duck presidency.[1] In the last year of George W. Bush's second term Democratic Senator Patrick Leahy stated the rule as meaning "judicial nominations do not advance in the Senate in the latter part of a presidential election year without the support of Senate leaders

That’s why I picked these two cities to visit on my trip to different world cities. I have a very diverse family and chose to visit very different countries, and very different cities, each where several of my cousins were located. Profile of Tokyo Tokyo is located on the largest of the islands of Japan, Honshu. It borders the Tokyo Bay and was built around three large rivers the Sumida River, the Ara River and the Edo River, for which Tokyo city was originally named until 1868 when it was renamed Tokyo.

Every summer, my family and I make a trip to Okoboji. Okoboji is a lot of fun, and we have a very nice time there. We usually spend a week in this cool city because there is so much stuff to do. On the first day, we usually like to go to Ranch Okoboji, which is a cool place to hang out. We have a lot of fun mini-golfing, playing arcade games, and even getting in the water!

In the Bible, there are many stories with similarities and differences. The three types of stories being discussed in this paper are wife finding stories, birth stories and death stories. Examples of each type are present in the Old Testament and New Testament. In this paper, the focus is going to be on the stories in the Old Testament. The significance of the similarities is to help the reader identify the type of story written.

One of my most memorable experiences was on the second night of Japan when we went to a baseball game and the customs there are crazy Both teams were really into the game even when losing they'd chant wave their flags and dance or clap their hands. They blew up balloons we thought until they burst but it was actually to let them go to make noise to cheer their team on. They dance and click sticks together in time to rally their teams fighting spirit. It was Tiger’s vs Marines and the Tigers were The better team both cheering and playing wise. However, I like rooting for the marine because they were the underdogs. It was a great experience that helped me bond with other people in the group and also let meet to know the Japanese people better than observing them in the daytime where they were quieter and hurrying off to places and were generally reserved.

The shop looks almost exactly the same as it did when I came here as a child, about ten years ago. It still smells like greasy pepperoni and hot bread. I sit patiently at one of the small tables, eyeing a child’s marker scribble that I swear might be mine.
