Learning on Kidzania In 2013 I went to visited Kidzania. There is a place to learn while playing. We can feel the work of adults. We set off at 7am and arrive at 10am. In Kidzania we are free to choose the job you want to try. We chose the extinguishing of the fire. At first we thought the fire that arises is real fire, but it was only a mock fire. After that we toured Kidzania long enough to find jobs that approximately match with us. Pharmacists are the next choice, we were assigned to pound the drug and make it into syrup. We also tried some other jobs, but I think the most interesting work is the Fire Brigade because Firefighting is a challenging job. Kidzania is an exciting place to learn. I am keen to revisit
Recently, the Junior Civitan Club held a charter ceremony to officially recognize the club as part of Junior Civitan. This was a very momentous occasion for not only members and sponsors of the club, but for the school as well.
A Reddit user named zennaconvolutia posted a story about her fiance and his relationship with his sister (more below), and while nothing else but the post itself can attest as to whether it’s actually real, it might be the site’s Internet-age answer to those weird sibling-on-sibling vibes in “The House of Usher.”

Grandma Abbas was born May 14, 1932 at the Presbyterian hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. Her dad was an engraver, and her mom was a homemaker. My grandmother and her sister, LaVonne, went to Irving grade school and walked home for lunch at noon. Grandma then went to West Jr. High school through the 8th grade just a few blocks from her house. She took acrobat lessons at a young age and was very flexible. They roller skated in the spring, played croquet in the summer, and in the winter, they played ping-pong. On Sundays, grandma Abbas and her siblings would visit their grandparent’s farm near Finchford, Iowa. They played baseball, looked for arrowheads at the quarry, and hunted for pheasants or squirrels. She helped her grandmother make dinner for men when they threshed oats in the summer and played on the haystack with her cousins. Grandma also told me she enjoyed watching my great grandpa worked in the field with his draft horses, milk cows, and give slop to the pigs (Dotty Abbas, 2016). She remembers turning the crank when they would make homemade ice cream and adding Root Beer for floats. This was a real treat to have.
worked in multiple Manhattan clothing stores from American Apparel, Abercrombie & Fitch, to Bape Clothing. After many month of saving up money, Kid Cudi moved into an apartment with Dot Da Genius in Brooklyn. The two produced and developed the sound of Kid Cudi: off-key singing, melodic rap, and humming. Now in 2006, a producer brought Kid Cudi to meet Plain Pat, who was at the time an A&R for Def Jam. Pat listened to Cudi’s mixtape, but no deal was made that night. Few weeks pass by and they run into each other at a club, Cudi was introduced to Haynie by Pat, Haynie has produced for rappers Eminem, Ghostface Killah, Ice Cube, and many more. All three became close friends and business partners, at times they would be perceived as parents who would always worry about Cudi’s safety. They encountered where they would fly to different states from Toronto to Philadelphia to perform for less than 200 people, they would earn not much money, but would stay out the whole night as if they were the wealthiest people at the moment.
Washington University. Columbia. University of Pennsylvania. Harvard. Brown. Yale. It’s no surprise that these top-ranking, prestigious schools also rank among the nation’s most stressful universities. Stories surrounding these schools spread like wildfire, reporting of students committing suicide, or dropping out of school due to the overwhelming expectations set for them. This is the life of one particular Columbia University student, Nayla Kidd, who decided to escape a life of stress. This past April and May, completely cutting herself off from outside contact, Kidd staged a “disappearance” in order to isolate herself from school and pursue a nontraditional lifestyle. Overnight, she became an example for students everywhere, inspiring them to life the lives they want instead of conforming to what society wants them to be. Though difficult to see amongst
You make a great point with the correlation of the lack of necessity for a warrant and invading our privacy. Perhaps it would be more appropriate for an all inclusive warrant, such as one initial warrant given for probably cause of a terroristic threat. Would you still feel our privacy would be assaulted with this process? It could justify utilizing unrelated evidence unrelated to terrorism.
This proposal is to help bring to life the Semester on the Appalachain, a semester long expedition on the Appalachian Trail for a group of ten participants, in order to provide an environment that can not be replicated in a typical classroom setting. In the proposal, it will provide research on the benefits of experiential and expedition education, improvement on psychological health, and organizations that run similar programs.
Children through play and leisure, children and young people explore their physical and social environment, test out ideas and concepts.
Kara can’t count the number of times she has said “I think they thought they could say that to me because I’m black.” And she equally cannot count the number of times someone has said back to her “I don’t think that’s it.” Kara is fed up with the micro-aggressions and active denial of her feelings and experiences. So she plans to share them whether we like it or not.
Kickstart Kids is an amazing program that has impacted my life and others around me in many different ways. Kickstart has helped me become the leader I am today, it has helped my shyness and make new friends, build my confidence and finding a passion that I love to do. I can start by saying how this program has impacted my life. Kickstart has helped me become a better leader because I can help out in classes and teach students everyday. I can also help out at my school and get involved to be the difference in the school. I can make new friends by going out and getting involved in things and meeting new people. I can meet people in this program that share the same love for the sport as I do. The Kickstart Kids program has helped me build my
At Noble Street College Prep, they have students pay for various infractions. “Noble collected almost $190,000 in discipline “fees” from detentions and behavior classes.” A discipline policy is used to make students behave and follow rules. There is a rewarding and punishing policy where students are supposed to be improving. While it is true that the rewarding policy may work, I believe that Konawaena Middle School should have the punishing policy, because when students are being punished, they are behaving during school, focused on their classes while getting superior grades and even with the policy students still have responsibilities for their work.
The Child Study data I have gathered comes from the observation I have completed at Mission Bell Elementary School. Mission Bell Elementary School is a local school in Riverside. In the P.M preschool class there are 24 students, one teacher, and one assistant. The child I decided to observe is names Zoe. Zoe is 4 years and 10 months old. I immediately was drawn to Zoe because she had such a big personality, was very social, and smart. I am glad that I choose to observe Zoe because she was able to make my observation process smooth and easy. While observing her I had to pay close attention to her biosocial development, motor skills, cognitive skills, communication skills,
The sand gardens provided large piles of sand for immigrant children to play under the supervision of a volunteer. Since the majority of these children’s parents left them unattended while they worked in factories. This is the first attempt at supervised organized play.
Play is inevitable when it comes to children. Given the right environment and objects (of any sort), children will find a way to play. Jarvis, et al state that educators must offer inspiring, playful environments which include hands-on activities and interesting resources. This will empower children to educate themselves (2009). Along the same line, Wood and Attfield consider that an environment inclusive of varied resources will provide room for growth in their learning and will support the child’s “creativity, inventiveness and originally” (2005, p.231).
