The children's story is “King Bidgood's in the Bathtub,” by Audrey Wood. It is about a King's Page asking what to do about King Bidgood's refusal to get out of the bathtub. The story follows along the line of the Page asking many people to help him get the King out of the bathtub all day, from early morning to late in the evening. The people who tried to get King Bidgood out of the tub ended up in the bathtub with him, playing, eating, fishing and dancing, all along in the tub with the king. No one was able to get him out. The Page finally pulled the plug and the water drained out of the tub. Finally, the king got out of the tub. Throughout time women and their rights have varied among where they are living and the people that surround them. Some of the major changes with women’s rights is giving them the right to vote, reproductive rights, and the right to work for equal pay. Another thing that varies throughout time is women’s roles. For example 100 years ago the only jobs that women could have was to either be a housewife, nurse, or a teacher. Until about 1910, women didn’t really fight for their rights and what they could do. In 1910, women started to voice their opinions in society and fought for the right to vote. Though things have changed greatly today, there are still women in the world that believe in the “traditional way” and prefer to still wait on

The character of Tub was presented in the opening scene as someone who would not stand up for himself and was willing to be ridiculed and made fun of to be part of a group. He allowed his friends to take advantage of him by making him wait over an hour in the cold and snow, accepting this behavior without even an apology. Tub was a character with low self esteem and was embarrassed of his weight, which allows him to make excuses and lie to everyone. The assessment of Tub did not change at the end of the story. He was

Cinderella, by the Brothers Grimm, described the life of a maiden named Cinderella. Born to a loving family, Cinderella’s life had drastically changed when her ailing mother had perished from her disease. After the death of Cinderella’s mother, her father had married another woman, who had two daughters. Unfortunately, Cinderella’s step-mother and step-sisters were cruel to Cinderella, forcing her to wear rags and perform chores. Instead of voicing the abuse, Cinderella submissively endured the appalling treatment and had her value reduced to a servant. As years progressed, the king organized an extravagant ball for three days, designed to attract the prince to the maidens in the ball. Even though Cinderella desperately wanted to attend the ball, because of the cruelty of her step-sisters, Cinderella remained meek and was warned she would be severely punished if she didn’t sort the lentils. Rather than performing the task and arguing for her freedom, Cinderella wept and was helped by the pigeons. As the ball continued, the step-sisters were discontent with the completion of their tasks, so they resumed to mistreat Cinderella by requesting her to complete further preposterous tasks. However, the pigeons would resume assisting Cinderella, even advising her to shake the tree on her mother’s grave for the appropriate attire to attend the ball. Thanks to the pigeons and the tree, Cinderella attended the ball and established herself as the candidate of the prince’s affection,
Picture this: a person who is there in body, but not in mind. This is considered to be a mental illness. The American Psychiatric Association says “Mental illnesses are health conditions involving changes in thinking, emotion or behavior” (“What”). Throughout the works of literature, numerous writers tie in mental illness in their work to bring back a time in their life that they experienced this. In the short stories, “The Fall of the House of Usher” by Edgar Allen Poe, and “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Charlotte Gilman, both represent Poe and Gilman’s mental illnesses within themselves. The two authors’ mental illnesses impacted their main characters and made them as if they were that person playing the part. Both Poe and Gilman suffered
The fact that this question still exists shows that the answer proves neither easy nor definitive. Women are diverse in their idea of what they want and what they desire to fulfill their needs. According to The Wife of Bath, she believes that women want mutual respect. Throughout history, women are portrayed as being the subordinate sex. Moreover, women live lives of being subservient to their male counterparts. The Wife of Bath felt the need to express the fact that there is an obvious problem with the balance of power within the marriage. Consequently, she set forth on a journey to confirm that women can be just as overbearing, domineering and cruel as men. She demanded to be heard.

Although many view children's fiction as suitable only to children, and an embarrassingly immature pursuit for a serious person, children' stories mold the way we think. They allows us to look at very complex and difficult issues in a safe and playful way, and they give us the freedom to imagine the unimaginable.
This particular short story is a satire about the two different worlds between adults and children. It may be narrated by someone who perhaps may have been an adult who was lost in a child's world, like an adult who still has a heart and soul of a child
