The kingdom was peaceful and friendly and its people were honest and carefree. The King, King Victor, was fair and kind and it was reflected in the everyday kingdom life as well. King Victor had 4 sons: Maximus, Duo, Tribus, and Quattor, each possessing a great deal of talent, spirit, beauty and strength. Maximus, the firstborn son, was the strongest, the most handsome, and possessed the most charismatic spirit. Unafraid of nobody and always praised for whatever he did, he grew rather arrogant. And then there was Minimus. Minimus, the 5th son, the runt of the litter. Always in last place, weak, ugly and untalented, to say the least. Nobody knew the reason behind it, and the kingdom plummeted into chaos. “Is King Victor going to die? Who’s going to become the successor?” These were the major questions in jeopardy. The King’s physician worked tirelessly, examining bedridden King, researching, and one day exclaimed excitedly, “ There is a cure! In the foreign lands. Go, and you shall become the world’s greatest hero.” What the physician didn’t say was that the road to the cure is treacherous. Full of exotic beasts, of the unknown and unforeseen dangers. However, eager to become a hero, Maximus, quickly got ready to set out but was stopped by the King’s advisor. “This is not your quest and if you do go, you will perish. I have read the omens and the Heavens say that the last of five is destined to go.” “Minimus!? What can that runt do? He can barely pick up a sword!” Maximus thought aloud. Immediately, the palace buzzed with the news that Minimus is the chosen one. Maximus, furious at this outcome, began destroying everything in sight. “How am I, someone who buckles under the weight of armor, supposed to go on this journey to the foreign land?” In disbelief, Minimus refused. However, the advisor warned him,“ If your father doesn’t get the herb by the end of the year, he will surely die. You are the only one that is capable of returning from this journey alive. If you don’t go, your brothers will not hesitate and will meet their end. Think of this as atonement for your sin and save your father.” Minimus, convinced by these words, agreed to set out on the fateful journey that would either change his life for the better or turn it into a
