A loud bang which sounded like the front door shutting screeched through your ears. Being a vampire, every sound is magnified, but when you're a pregnant vampire, the sounds are beyond extenuating. You quickly cover your ears in an attempt to block out some of the sound but it was no use. "Y/N? Are you home, love?" Your husband Klaus asked as he placed his car keys on the table next to the front door. "I'm in our room..." You say softly, not bothering to yell out as he'll hear you either way. You are in your third trimester and the aches in your stomach seem as though they're only getting worse. As Klaus made his way to you, a sudden pain in your belly made your cry out in agony. "Y/N! So you think our baby is a ‘he’?" You smirk down at him with a slight turn of your head. "We'll just have to wait and see." Klaus laughs, standing up and hands you the glass of water on the bedside table. You go to take a sip of it, but end up spilling a little bit on yourself, "fuck!" "It's okay! I'll get a towel for you." "It's not okay, Klaus! Nothing is okay!" A sadness formed inside you for pretty much no reason at all, but you seemed to think it was the most important thing in the world. Klaus used his superspeed to race into the bathroom connected to your room and get a towel in just under 5 seconds, handing you it with a smirk. "Don't use that smirk of yours on me!" You snatch the towel out of his hands and wipe the water off your chest. He did nothing but smile at you as he knew it was just the overwhelming emotions that came with the miracle inside of you. "Babe, can you do me a favour?" You faced him with all good intentions, hopefully for a bit longer this time. "Anything." He laughed at your again change of mood. "Why are you laughing?" "You are quite amusing...in a good way." He put his arms up in defense as he knows that anything can trigger your angry
