The rift between Phil Jackson and Carmelo Anthony over the past few months is a sign Anthony may be traded this summer. Trading Anthony would allow the Knicks to build around Kristaps Porzingis, but it will leave them without a premier scorer, which is a must-have in the NBA. Should the Knicks trade Anthony, or keep trying to build around him? In April, Jackson said Anthony “would be better off somewhere else and using his talent somewhere he can win or chase that championship.” Jackson is attempting to force Anthony out of New York, and he’s not being subtle about it.
