The rift between Phil Jackson and Carmelo Anthony over the past few months is a sign Anthony may be traded this summer. Trading Anthony would allow the Knicks to build around Kristaps Porzingis, but it will leave them without a premier scorer, which is a must-have in the NBA. Should the Knicks trade Anthony, or keep trying to build around him? In April, Jackson said Anthony “would be better off somewhere else and using his talent somewhere he can win or chase that championship.” Jackson is attempting to force Anthony out of New York, and he’s not being subtle about it. Ironically, Jackson is also implying that the Knicks aren’t good and may not be for a while. This is coming from the president of the New York Knicks. Trading Anthony won’t
One can think Irving is nuts for wanting to leave James, yet understand his position as well. At 25, he’s already got a ring. And there is no doubt that playing with James is hard. Entire franchises bend like palm fronds in a gale to his every wish and desire. Things are done his way, all the time, every day. He’s not wrong to ask, because until last year, when Irving rose up over Stephen Curry in the last minute of Game 7, no one in wine and gold had done anything championship worthy other than him.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Sacramento Kings guard Rajon Rondo has offered a stronger apology for directing a gay slur at veteran NBA referee Bill Kennedy.
Since 2007, no team that went on to win the NBA championship finished worse than seventh in defensive rating (points allowed per 100 possessions) during the regular season.
“And I’m going to stay a Knicks and Nets representative until my last days on Earth.”
After viewing Mets.com of the New York Mets, RedSox.com of the Boston Redsox and Knicks.com of the New York Knicks there are a variety of things I evaluated from their sites. I found the Mets website to have the best overall design. The Mets website had the best structure with a crisp path to the most important and popular information. The Red Sox website followed a similar structure to that of the Mets with a similar path to information. The Knicks website possessed the worst structure of the three but still not a bad overall structure. I did however feel that the Knicks homepage consisted of far too many videos making it seem cluttered and difficult to focus on anything else on the page. While the Knicks and Mets have the same blue and orange color scheme I found the Mets website to be the most attractive. Again,
In an excerpt from Jackson’s letter to the Cherokees he says “ I have no motive, my friends, to deceive you. I am sincerely desirous to promote your welfare. Listen to me, therefore, while I tell you that you cannot remain where you now are. Circumstances that cannot be controlled, and which are beyond the reach of human laws, render it impossible that you can flourish in the midst of a civilized community. You have but one remedy within your reach.
Jackson is a over powered man, that doesn’t care what happens to the Natives, as long as they move. Jackson was thought to have been like this because in document 1 the video states “Jackson was someone who wanted to just forge ahead,
We bet you had the same reaction. After Bruce Jenner set his manliness aside, we figured it's anyone's guess who's next on the chopping block. Carmelo Anthony, known for his earth-shattering basketball skills and solid Olympic performances, seems to have a good head on his young shoulders. We dig further to discover the reason behind this investment.
The Philadelphia 76ers are at the bottom of the Eastern Conference once again. With a 18-31 record the Sixers are destined for the lottery again. However, there is a different feeling around Sixers nation. It’s a feeling that hasn't been felt since the days of Allen Iverson. It’s a feeling of hope, promise, and excitement. Let’s dig a little further.
The name Antetokounmpo has thirteen letters and six vowels. This name is hard for many people to pronounce. Do you know where the The Greek Freak got his name? Well, he got his name from Greece since that’s his home country.
His scouting agents are looking for bench players. Bench players that can rebound and be dominant inside the post as Tim Duncan. Someone else that get to the basket and get others in the game as Tony Parker. Players who can get blocks and guard superstars like Kewhi Leonard.
Wealth and power is what Mr. Jackson believes will make everyone happy. He says he wants to return the country to the common man, but he is trying to make everyone wealthier and powerful. This will lead to many more rich people overpowering the common people. Jackson said any good man would prefer a country “studded with cities,” over a country with many forests. Jackson is stating he wants to support businesses
Name your favorite sports team. Throughout my history of watching sports, I have found an interest in going for two sports teams. The first team is in the national football league and they are the Seattle Seahawks. I first started rooting for them back in 2005, which was the year they lost in the Super Bowl to the Pittsburgh Steelers. After I watched that game, I started watching a couple more games following their Super Bowl loss, then I finally decided that this is the team that I would be dedicated to rooting for the rest of my life. My other favorite basketball team is in New York and they are the New York Knicks. I began rooting for the Knicks because I was an Amar'e Stoudemire fan and when he left Phoenix, I decided to follow him there since he was the only player I cared about. I stayed a Knicks fans because of the electric atmosphere that consumes Madison Square Garden when their team is giving their all.
He is a career 29.4 shooter from three-point range and has a very hard time getting to the free-throw line. When Jackson does reach the charity stripe, he only made 79 percent of his free-throws last year. He also averaged right at 3.5 turnovers per game in 2014-15, which needs to be addressed as well. The question with Jackson is do the positives out way the negatives? I believe they do and will be targeting him for my fantasy squads in his first full season in
This is not only because he is homeless, but because he is a Native American. An example of this is the bartender at the Big Hearts bar. Jackson spends a decent amount of money there on shots and other drinks for those all around him. As soon as it’s about to close though the bartender forces him to get out, but not in a nice manor. He says he’ll “kick his ass” (21), if he does not get out of his bar. He yells at all the Indians to get out. Jackson does argue and get beat up, but if it was someone that looked a little cleaner and looked like they made more money he probably would have just kindly asked them to leave. Another example of someone looking down upon Jackson because he is Native American is the pawn shop owner. He assumes immediately that Jackson is lying about his grandmother’s regalia (11). Even though in the end he gives Jackson the regalia, he looks down on Jackson knowing that he probably will not ever get the nine hundred ninety-nine dollars he says it will take to get the regalia. There is a sense of immediate judgement when Jackson goes anywhere in the
