K. Kobe Bryant is arguably one of the greatest basketball players in NBA history. He also happens to be my favorite basketball player in the world. Kobe is my favorite for many reasons. I like his style of play and I like his confidence. He is really talented and has the mentality of a champion. More like the mentality of a five time NBA champion. In my opinion Kobe has one of the best styles of play. He is a two guard but that is not the only way he plays. He can dribble and pass like a one guard, but he also get open and scores like a two guard. This reminds me if myself, because I play the exact same way. Kobe also creates scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. He has the skill and strength to back his defender down like a power ford, and the strength to slam on his defender like a center. He is so deadly because he can score from any part of the court. One minute he will drive you to the basket for an easy bucket, and the next minute he will step back and drain a 26 …show more content…
He walks on the court telling himself he is the best. He truly believes his is the greatest of his generation. I remember the first time I heard about Kobe Bryant. It was in 2006 after one of his games. January 22nd, 2006 Kobe dropped 81 points in one game on the Toronto Raptors. That scoring outburst was one of the highest in NBA history, second only to Wilt Chamberlain’s 100 point game in 1962. All of my friends where talking about it at school so I decided to look into this Kobe Bryant. I watched all of his highlight mixtapes and he has been my favorite player ever since. In that 81 point game Kobe took 46 shots by himself while the rest of the team took 42 shots combined. That goes to show how confident Kobe is in himself. I have the same attitude and confidence as Kobe. I feel as if I am the best and that no one can beat me, and it will remain that way until I’m proven wrong. I think that is why I like Kobe so much because I relate to
Kobe came into the league in the most ideal scenario; he was picked by a big market, star studded, rich organization, the Los Angeles Lakers. To add to that, Kobe had 0 pressure due to the other superstar in town, Shaquille O’Neal. Kobe would be the robin to Shaq’s Batman, and by doing so, Kobe would have 3 championships in a row. In historical context, on the NBA’s chess board, Kobe was a knight; he was important but they could do without him. Kobe did not become an important piece until in his ninth year, when he was stranded with NBA journeymen. Comparing them to his old teammates was like comparing minute maid orange juice to Dom Perignon champagne. So, Kobe was granted permission to do whatever he wanted with the basketball in his hands, which lead to his average points per game going up, and his shooting efficiency to go down. LeBron however, was not drafted into success with no pressure and a Batman like Kobe was; he was the most anticipated basketball player ever, expected to lift a team, rather a city, whom had not won a sports championship since 1964, out from the ashes and into the limelight,at the age of 18. Unlike Kobe, Lebron had all the pressure to live up to his prophecy from the moment he stepped on the NBA’s basketball court and he did not disappoint. In fact, LeBron put up stats never before seen from a player so young, changing NBA history in the process. At 19, he
Kobe supporters will point out that he is a better player than LeBron because he earned and won more NBA championships than LeBron with 5. People may also argue Lebron has more finals MVPs, but in reality, it's the number of championships in the end that you have won and been a part of. Unlike Lebron, Kobe has more all-defensive team selections with 12 selections for defensive team all-NBA. According to the website, www.sportskeeda.com
KD is becoming the world's greatest player, the stats show that KD is pass Lebron James. He is hardworking and will not stop working hard until he retires from the NBA. All that he has accomplished is because he work hard and does not give up. KD pushes himself to be the best player because he knows his limits and pushes them. KD
However, Spike Lee captures Kobe as completely human, prone to minor mistakes, throughout the film. For example, when talking to his teammates on the bench versus the Spurs he says, "Hey Pau, my fault I thought you had a quick shot right there, that's why I threw it back to you" (34:12). Kobe not only admits to his mistake, but he explains his thought process when he made the wrong pass earlier in the game. Candid interactions like this allows the viewer to relate to Kobe, as his humbleness and composure often makes the viewer think twice about who they're watching; is it one of the greatest basketball players ever or just an ordinary dude? Later on, Kobe explains that post-game inters are particularly tough because he's always "out of breath." Once again, the viewer is surprised with another admittance of mortality, unlike the god-like status that he typically carries. By providing an eye into Kobe's private conversations in the locker room and on the bench that viewers otherwise wouldn't witness, the viewer is able to relate to Kobe.
There are lots of good basketball players out there but Kobe and Lebron compete against each other. They both have a lot of things in common they both have have more than 2 championships both have more than 1 mvp been in the All-Star more than 5 times. They both also been in the league more than +10 years & both have become the head player for their team. The difference between them is that Kobe plays a different position he plays shooting guard while Lebron plays small forward. Kobe has only played for one team is whole career which is the Lakers while on the other hand Lebron has played for Cavs and Miami. Kobe was drafted in 1996 while Lebron was drafted in 2003 7 year difference Kobe has retired from league in 2016 while Lebron is still
Chapter 1- Overview Born August 23, 1978 in Pennsylvania, Kobe spent the first years of his life living in Italy with his family because his dad Joe “Jellybean” Bryant played in the Italian basketball league. Kobe’s dad also played in the NBA for 8 years, he was a very good basketball player. Kobe attended Lower Marion High School where he made really good grades and showed smarts on his SAT scores, but after all his basketball success and school smarts he decided to skip college and go right to the NBA. 1Kobe could have easily gone to college, he broke Wilt Chamberlain's scoring record in high school and Kobe was very smart.
As the core player in their team, they are always responsible to take the last chance to score that will determine the results of games, which is called Game-Winning shot. According to a statistic by ESPN, Kobe has made 36 Game-Winning shots in his career while both Lebron and Tim have made 23 Game-Winning shots (Abbott, 2011). It is not difficult to conclude that Kobe has the dominance to determine the result of games, especially during the last few minutes. Therefore, Michael Jordan, who has been called “the god of basketball”, claimed that he loved watching Kobe’s game and Kobe is the only one deserved to be compared with himself (Freeman, 2012). It definitely shows that Kobe is the greatest in 21st century because of the praise from “the god of

Lebron James and Kobe Bryant are two of the most explosive players in the NBA today. Each player has his own playing style that separates him from the rest of the league. Both players have their own career achievements, endorsements, and personal life stories behind the game. If you ask anybody, the comparison between these two players is great. It is a never ending debate between who is better because both players have something different to bring to the table. Side by side on paper, both players seem dominant and may one day end up in the basketball hall of fame. But as individuals, side by side, each has a different but similar life.

As it stands today, Kobe Bryant is the best basketball player to have ever played the game. Some argue that Michael Jordan was better, but he was not. Some argue that Lebron James is better, but he is not. To compare him to the men who played the center position is a waste of time. Obviously Shaquille O’Neal, Wilt Chamberlain, and Kareem Abdul Jabbar were more dominant. They were freaks of nature. What Kobe had that set him apart from everyone else was a skill set and mentality that is unmatched. Kobe is the best player first and foremost because he was a Los Angeles Laker for twenty years. Some may say that my bias towards Kobe as a Laker fan discredits my argument, but it does not.

The defense side of Lebron is crucial to every players game because good defense leads to even better of offense. James has the defense side by the steals he gets or can get, and what he is known for being a chase down
