Despite my objections, we visited a breeder who had a litter of Golden Retriever puppies. We chose one during that visit, and we named her Karma. All summer, my sister and I had to
She just had to be (partially) named after the cheese. Brie once said she would’ve chastised her parents for naming her so, if they were alive. Yeah, she was orphaned. But she was better off than Octavian, whose parents were both alive, but were farmers whose profits were rarely even plentiful, especially now, thanks to the—
As I child my first dog at age 3 was a female Doberman pinscher. I played with her since I am an only child. She was my only friend. My parents and I named her Corazon which means heart. She was very friendly, playful, active, loving, affectionate, loyal, intelligent, good temperament and guard dog, very over protective of her family, especially me as a child. As for
Most people have a story about how their parents decided on their name, especially those of us who have less common ones. Mine is fairly dry; my parents looked through a book of names and decided that “Maizie” was charming and sweet and would fit me well. My sister’s story, however, is slightly more intriguing. Cleo Arden Seidl, born on August 3rd of 2001, was named by me, Maizie Regan Seidl, when I was just two years and nine months old.
I decided it would be fun to name my virtual child after my favorite childhood toy, so we named her Dakota, after my teddy bear. Dakota has a virtual sister whose name is Rose. Her name was decided because a rose is my favorite flower. Although the girls are three years apart, they get along very well even though when they were younger, Dakota was very jealous of Rose.

To produce this book, I asked not “What you are going to name your baby?”, but rather “What is your name? How does it make you feel? Who named you? Why did they choose that name? Would you change
My mom was a reader. She was a slow reader, but a reader nonetheless. Her favorite book to this day is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty White. The main Character’s name is Mary Frances Nolan. My mom decided then that my name would be Frances. Well, that didn’t work because my dad didn’t like that name. So anyway, my mom also loved a set of children’s books about a badger named Frances (she is an elementary school teacher), and the badger’s little sister’s name was Gloria. I was named Gloria after the little sister, or I was named after Gloria Estefan if you ask my dad.
“What are you thinking of naming him?” My dad asked, I guess he was hoping for a Robert, so this newborn baby would be named after him.

good for older women. Her middle name is Vanessa which was her mother’s best friend’s name, and she never uses it.
I love the meaning behind a person’s name and I love uncommon names because I feel they resonate more than names you hear more frequently. I named my son Chance because it was not a name commonly used and meant, “Having good fortune”. I still had the baby name book from when I was pregnant with my son and decided to finger through it looking for ideas. I came across the page where I had listed possible girl names that had caught my attention and at the top of the list was the name Halo. That was it! I searched the pages looking for the meaning behind the name and found it means, “Having a blessed aura.” She had been my halo from the beginning, before I even knew what I had or how lucky I was, the name was so fitting! I played around with many middle names trying to fit in which one sounded best after Halo and before Rae, which was to be her second middle name. Ultimately it was my youngest sister that suggested I try using Scarlett and Halo Scarlett Rae became the name I chose for
Female dogs have always had the crown for having the most adorable names. A few that may come to mind are lola, sophie, daisy and the all time popular lucy. However, the name bella is categoried as the most popular cute female dog name.
I named the german shepherd Duke! We did absolutely everything together. There was never a dull moment. We would wrestle, run, and take long walks in the park. The dog never left my side unless I was going to school. Then my parents would have to put him on a chain or he would run after the bus!
Pet names is my expression of adorament towards my sister. To remind her she beautiful. She is special.
