Kristoff slept poorly; his mind racing toward tomorrow. He was no longer confident of who he was any more. After all these months’ aboard ship, in the company of good, honest, men, had made him question what his life had been. He questioned what his mission was to become. He laid there in his tiny cubicle and prayed for guidance.

Finally, unable to sleep, he rose. Looking in the small faded mirror he saw a man he did not know, He saw a beardless face that appeared younger than he remembered himself to be.
