Monday Kyra’s alarm clock woke her up every Monday morning at 6:00 am to go to her Alcohol awareness meeting that took place at her local church. This early hour of the morning proved to be a bit difficult to wake up at, especially for someone who was out all night the night before partying and drinking. This particular Monday morning proved to be no different as Kyra’s alarm clock woke her up once again at 6:00 am. Kyra’s head was pounding as a result from all the drinking she did the night before, and she growled as her fingers fumbled around on her nightstand. “You stupid piece of shit, always reminding me of how god damn early it is.” Her fingers grasped the edges of the alarm clock and she threw it to the floor, cursing at its existence. …show more content…
“Whatever.” Kyra responded, before taking a seat next to a newcomer. He was a tall gentleman who was dressed in a white polo shirt with tan khakis.
“You are a little overdressed for an AA meeting, don’t you think?” Kyra asked the newbie.
“You are one to talk, Little Miss Punctuality.” He whispered back, obviously teasing Kyra with his hushed voice. Her mouth slightly dropped at his banter and she decided to simply smirk in response.
“Perhaps the two of you would like to share with the rest of us what is so amusing? Kyra, how has your drinking been?” Kyra broke her gaze away from the new guy and made eye contact with the little lady in charge.
“My drinking is fine. Only reason I drink is because of my Mother. Ironic, is it not? Besides, I have talked enough about the damage that bitch has done to my life in our previous meetings; maybe you should pick on someone new. Like this guy,” Kyra responded, pointing to the tall and limber fellow sitting next to her.
“With all do respect, ma’ams, me being new and all, I would prefer not to discuss on my first day.” Kyra’s eyes widened a little as the short lady nodded in
Crunching rocks filled the girl's ears as she woke up. Allison was unaware that she had ever fallen asleep. She opened her eyes and glanced at her phone, which had stopped playing music about an hour ago, based on the fact that it had reached the end of the playlist. "Wake up honey, we're here," Allison's mother whispered. Allison sat up straight and looked out her window. The sun was shining bright for the first time in ages. Allison suddenly spotted her friends walking their horses to the stables.
Ada Blair woke up, the loud and flashing alarm programmed to wake her up at 6:45 she reluctantly stood up and pressed the button that shut off the alarm. She walked out of her room down the lengthy corridor to the kitchen. Her dad, was cooking the breakfast the smell of bacon and eggs was heavenly.
Faline rolled her eyes again. After being friends with Sophia for four years, she had gotten used to the motion. “I don’t drink…or smoke,” was added as an afterthought, “remember?”
“Well, just look at you,” she said laughing. “I’ve never seen you dressed up before.”
Asami groaned in the darkness, the grogginess of her nap hanging over her like a storm-cloud. She stretched, splaying out across her bed, not quite sure which way the bedhead was facing, or whether or not she was still on her bed or simply curled up in her sheets lying on the floor. The alarm on her phone screamed through the room.
“Shit, shit, shit…” Kelsey mumbled to herself as she leaned against the wall of her room to put her other black stiletto on. She quickly zipped up her black dress, applied red lipstick and ran out the door. The warm night air brushed against her legs as she quickly walked to the bar downtown. She was on a mission tonight… and being late wasn’t part of the plan.
Morning. Lin awakens on the floor of her new apartment. A cloud of amnesia fogs her memory. Last night feels like a vague dream. Perhaps she drank too much...
My lips curved into a lopsided grin and my hand scratched the back of my neck as I replied. “Sorry Chief. Little tired this morning. You were saying?” while staring down at the common room floor.
He chuckled, something she noticed he always did around her. Aidan thought she was adorable from her rapping in the mirror to her hiding behind a couch pillow.
“She came into my business and dare steal from me. I going to make an example out of her.” Aden nonchalantly replied as he pours himself another glass of alcohol.
Amber started her morning the way she always did. She rolled over in bed to shut off her alarm clock that now shined a red light showing 9:38 a.m. Most would consider this sleeping in, but for Amber it was just another day. She got out of bed, slipped on her slippers and a sweater, and headed out the door to grab her morning coffee from a little shop down the street.
“I didn’t much like that lady, so now we don’t have to listen to her prattle while we complete the game,” whispered Jesse with a giggle.
“Kyra,” Queen Szilvia grabbed the elf’s attention, without bothering to lower her stare. “Teach him what happens when you look the queen in the eye.” Kyra bowed her head respectfully before turning back to Alistair.
The blaring alarm sounded in Mina’s ears at 4:30 AM. She groaned and smacked it, cutting off the offending noise. Mina was never a morning person and even the prospect of getting out of the warm bed made her exhausted. Curling up into her pillows she sighed contentedly. Having to get up before the sun was even out is a crime in itself.
Skylar was awakened by the loud thumping of a bass. Slowly lifting open her eyes, she patted the bedside table in search of her phone that mentioned the ungodly hour. 1:18 A.M? Seriously? What is going on? She listened further and realized that the noises audible from downstairs vaguely resembled those played at a party.
