Questions
A. Water boils at 100°C at sea level. If the water in this experiment did not boil at 100°C, what could be the reason?
One possibility could be the elevation. Another could be that your water was contaminated/taken out of the tap.
B. While heating two different
The United States has to reconfigure the measurement of goods due to not using the metric system.
Purpose: To learn about the international system of units (SI), to become familiar with common lab equipment and techniques, to gain proficiency in determining volume, mass, length, and temperature of a variety of items using common laboratory measurement devices, to learn to combine units to determine density and concentration, and to use laboratory equipment to create serial dilutions and determine the density and concentration of each dilution.
When the pH is not at its optimum, the differing pH's will disrupt the bonding between the R groups of the amino acid causing its structure and the shape of the activation site to change
Procedure: Using distilled water, premeasured containers and objects determine displacement of fluids and density of objects. Use ice and heat measure temperatures in Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin.

The purpose of this lab was for the student to get involved with his or hers new lab kit as well as being able to know, identify and use each other tools provided in the kit. Another key learning aspect of this lab is to teach the student how to measure properly the many units in the SI system. I will be using laboratory dilutions, measurements, and weights to then calculate using algebraic formula.
Purpose: The purpose of this investigation is to learn how to write a proper lab report and how to

The purpose of this lab is to test substances and to determine the physical and chemical properties of substances.
As shown in figure 1 , schematic diagram of the experimental apparatus is shown. The three pipes used in the fabrication of the heat exchanger are made of brass(inner pipe), copper pipe(helical pipe), mild steel pipe(outer pipe). The inside diameters of the three pipes are 0.03175m, 0.009525m and 0.0635m respectively with thickness of each pipe as 1.5mm only. The experimental set up is composed of a test section, normal water loop, cold water loop, hot water loop and temperature measuring system. The water is used as working fluid. The test section and the connections of piping system are designed such that parts can be changed for different flow arrangement. The hot water loop consists of a storage tank, an electric heater of 3000W immerged inside the storage tank to obtain the high temperature of hot water, a pump and gate valve. The cold water loop consists of a storage tank, a pump and gate valve. Ice cubes are used to cool down the temperature of tap water to nearly 130 C . The normal water loop consists of storage tank, pump and gate valve. After the temperature of the water is adjusted to the desired level, the normal, cold and hot water are pumped out of the storage tank and are passed through test section and discharged to outside. The flow rate of the water are controlled by adjusting the valve and measured by the flow metres of +_ 0.2% of full scale. The heat exchanger is a concentric tube

I will be completing this assignment for Chemical Engineering Lab 1 as an introduction to the writing and formatting process that is expected by Professor Burrows. During this writing, I will work to become familiar with the whole process of the lab report. This will include practicing how to format professional tables and plots, with clear and understandable information and captions. My previous experience with formatting reports in Microsoft Office and utilizing Microsoft Excel for tables and plots will be utilized. Strengths that I have come from my need to make the document have a professional look, as I have not only wanted to provide quality information, but also to make the report aesthetically pleasing. Places of improvement could include time efficiency, including effectively gathering data from online or public sources. I believe this first assignment will be at least sufficient with completing all of the tasks required with proper formatting, with a hope that what is sought after or expected will be completely understood. By doing this, a certain rhythm of writing the lab reports and completing further assignments may be obtained that will benefit me for the remainder of the semester.
