It is incredible, that almost 100 years later, the winter Olympics are still held every four years! Ski cross, oftentimes considered Freestyle skiing, also known as freeskiing, as well as jibbing, is one of the original 14 winter Olympic events, along with alpine and cross-country skiing. Ski cross is performed on both, naturally occurring terrain and artificial courses, with features including, bumps, rollers, big-air jumps and high-banked turns. Having worked both women’s and men’s lacrosse, I have learned they are two different types of sports. Women’s lacrosse you have a shot clock and really cannot hit. During this game of women’s lacrosse, I was working the shot clock the whole game. Also, I had to call out certain times on the clock because either there was glare or if a team hit fifteen seconds on the shot clock, Karmen needed to know so she could blow the horns.
Lacrosse is often referred to as the fastest sport on two feet. Deriving from Native American roots, it relies upon athleticism, commitment, and one’s ability to wield a lacrosse stick. For centuries, the sport has grown and evolved as new equipment is regulated, new rules created, and new styles developed. Recently, however, a push for more protective gear has evolved outside the lacrosse community due to rising fears of increased head trauma; it incited a debate revolving around whether or not extra protective headgear would decrease the dangers of women's lacrosse. On the other hand, those within the lacrosse community, mainly players and coaches, have recognized the dangers
Thesis: Despite growing rates of concussions among women’s lacrosse , mandating a headgear or helmet requirement for all players would disturb the unique nature of women’s lacrosse, which relies upon finesse and ability over brute strength, increase aggressive action in game play, or take attention away from more prominent injury risks of the game.

Thank you for contacting me with your questions regarding the incoming Norwegian female skier. The female skier may receive that skis from the manufacture and expenses from the Norwegian national governing body. However, as with any incoming student athlete, the concern is that the female skier maintains her amateur status under Article 12 of the NCAA bylaws.

Have you ever enjoy playing snow in another way? What I mean by that is snowboarding.

Skiing and snowboarding are popular winter sports. Though they are similar in terms of being played in the snow, they are very different. Some of the differences are the equipment, the technique, and the overall statistics such as injuries.
When I think of my best memories, snowboarding is the first thing that comes to mind, those memories are some of my greatest. Going away for a ski or snowboard trip was what I got really excited for. Getting opportunity to explore what the world has to offer. I’ve been to many different hills, all with different experiences. Most good, some bad. Each trip I go on just gets better, and better. Last February my Dad, Brother and I went up to Quebec City for the weekend for a good time to bond and have fun. It was the right time to go up, leaving the province, school, problems and stress all behind us to enjoy the weekend.
& Media Athletics Greek mythology has had a large influence on modern day sports, especially the Olympic Games, held every four years in Olympus. The first Olympic games were held in 776 BCE, in honour of Zeus. Male contestants (ONLY men) participated in sports like javelin throwing, wrestling, and racing. Winners were awarded with crowns made of laurels and eternal glory in their city-state. Today, the Olympics are celebrated every two years, alternating between summer and winter. The types of sports played vary, depending on the season; for example, the summer Olympic Games include everything from judo to swimming, and the winter games include everything from freestyle skiing
Imagine this, you are an athlete but not just an athlete a female athlete, and you’re having the time of your life playing the sport you love, you want to go to college. You work your butt off to get a scholarship, and at the end of your senior year, your last game. At the end you see a college scout walking towards you, your heart pounds, he says you are a very talented athlete, but sadly we don’t have the money to get you a scholarship. Sports are a popular activity all over, gender should not be in any part of equality, fairness, and treatment of athletes. Some people think just because you are a female athlete you don’t deserve as fair treatment as men get, but others disagree. Female athletes should get treated just as equal as male athletes
Many people do not know when and where the Olympics started. The first ever Olympics started in 776 BC in ancient Greece. The Greeks participated in many Olympic events every four years. The events that the Greeks participated in are: Running (track), Long Jump, Shot Put, Javelin, Boxing, Pankration and Equestrian Events. Today’s Olympics have way more events including winter events which the Greeks did not compete in. Countries all over the world didn’t start competing in the Olympics until 1896 which was held in Athens, Greece due to the tradition of the ancient Greeks.
Some people may have noticed that the Russian flag was missing from the February Olympics. They were banned because during the last Winter Games Russia’s government engineered a doping scheme that cheated clean athletes. In the seventies, the Berlin wall was part of a fortified border that split Germany in two. Officially, it kept the West out, but in reality, it kept East German citizens in. The government sought ways to demonstrate the superiority of communism to the rest of the world. One of the only positive things that came from this oppression was a type of sports revolution. Talented children were handpicked for special sports schools, and coaches as well as doctors were employed full-time to train them. Sports festivals became highly
