Lamar Jackson's Brutality

So in the 1987 draft the raiders chose him with their seventh round pick. The owner of the raiders seemed to take a liking in Jackson's baseball career so he offered him a contract that would allow him to pursue baseball but also have to work part-time in football after each MLB season. During the 1990 NFL season he rushed for 698 yards in 10 games and earned himself a Pro Bowl selection. But an injury also came with all of those accomplishments as he suffered a hip injury that the treatment couldn’t help. That spring the Royals released him and he was later acquired the the White Sox. He was able to play 23 games before his hip had deteriorated so much that he had to have it replaced.

Bo Jackson is known for his ability to be successful in both football and baseball, a feat no other professional athlete was able to attempt. As a young adult, Bo Jackson thrived at whatever he did; from baseball to football to track, and he was able to give it his best effort and naturally excel at these sports. As a college athlete, Bo Jackson retained his ability to achieve greatness in both football and baseball, a feat that would set the precedent for his adult life and careers. As an adult, Bo Jackson became famous for his ability to alternate between football and baseball at the same time, and excel at both sports, without any time to rest. Bo’s ability to jump from one sport to the next was seen as an impressive show of his skill and natural talent for the sports. In his Junior year, 2012, he was capable of being named the St. Louis Post-Dispatch offensive player of the year after rushing for an impressive 1,802 yards and thirty four touchdowns and receiving twenty passes for 401 yards and scoring six times. While he was a Senior, 2013, he had 3,061 all-purpose yards and fifty total touchdowns, in those fifty touchdowns, he managed to get, 2,155 rushing yards and forty rushing touchdowns. He led the football team to three straight title games, but sadly could not manage to lead his team to victory in any of the games.

Jackson was also awarded with the CFL’s Most Outstanding Canadian Award (1959, 1963, 1966, 1969 seasons), four times. A CFL All-Star quarterback (1966, 1968, 1969 seasons), and a six-time Eastern Conference All-Star quarterback (1962, 1963, 1966, 1967, 1968,1969).

With the loss of starting QB Devin Gardner (1,896 yards passing, 10 TDs) and leading receiver Devin Funchness (733 yards receiving, 4 TDs), Coach Harbaugh starts a new era in Michigan football with a couple of junior running backs and a few returning offensive lineman as the basis of the team's 2015 offense. Harbaugh acknowledges this is going to be a rebuilding process and hopefully fans will give him time to employ his own experience. For now, his offense will revolve around two talented RBs who shared time in 2014. The team's leading rusher was De'Veon Smith who had a total of 519 yards and 6 TDs. He will be competing for playing time with Derrick Green who had 471 yards and 3 TDs. With 7 QBs listed on the roster, the starting QB role will most likely be determined by who is able to show leadership qualities during practice before the season starts.
