Alicia is a fairly tall individual standing at 1.78 with a slim body not weighing more then 76 kg. With her height coming mainly in her legs she often towers over people. She has been wearing the same size shoes since she was 13 a fact she often tries to hide by buying larger shoe sizes and stuffing them hoping no one notices.

Today is the fourth day me and Little Ann have been sitting here waiting to hunt. Billy is just walking around the camp looking at other dogs and talking to the hunters. He starts making his way back to Little Ann and I. In the buggy Billy digs us each out a weenie and feeds it to us. I swallow mine whole and look at him and ask for more. I don't really think he understood me because he just walked away smiling.

I squeezed her hand and said, “Ok Allie, I think it’s time to talk a bit. Nothing serious... There were still pauses as a new emotion would suddenly appear from one of us which would cause tears, but we continued with this because we both knew this was an act of reconciliation, and we were teaching ourselves to be together again.

On a quiet day, long ago, a young girl sat in the field where her father worked. Bianca’s hair was long, dark, and coarse complementing her caramel skin. She sat, eyes closed, taking in the warm June day. The corn, the air and the soft songs that the workers sang in the fields made Bianca smile. “Bianca! cariño! It is time to go Bianca! Andale! ” yells her father from across the fields. She rises to her feet, brushes the red, clay dust off of her shawl, and begins to walk home. She walks hand in hand with her father as the sunset in Veracruz, Mexico sets. As they approach their humble home, the smell of enchiladas and frijoles wash over them. The savory aroma entrances Bianca and her father and as if it were planned a faint “Mmmmmmmm” slips between both of their lips under their breath.
