What is land destruction? Land destruction involves many different things. It can be logging of trees and rain forest. Nuclear waste is one that is very serious that is harmful to the land. As well, pollution, air, water and land all do damage of some kind. Land destruction is something that doesn’t need to be taking lightly. There are many other items such as building and dams that cause damage to the land as well. This is a topic that needs to be addressed and fixed. All of this items listed above are dreadful to the land. Land destruction needs to be stopped and taken care of before it goes to far to stop.

Plastic is also something that is all around us. This is something that is the process to make them from oil is what causes the pollution. There is ton of plastic everywhere. Plastic is used for everything under the sun, from bottles to band-aids.

Contamination of the land is one type of destruction that sometimes there is no control of it. One of the most well known contaminations to the land was Chernobyl in the Ukraine. “One of the four reactors of the town's nuclear plant explodes: 31 persons were instantly killed; it is estimated that 15000 others died in the twenty years that followed. Thousands of hectares of land were contaminated and a huge radioactive cloud crossed the borders of the country.” (Industrial, 1) This was a big nuclear waste dump that did a lot of harm not just to the land, but to the people of the land as well. The affects of this type of devastation to the land is one that did and will have these affects long after the disaster occurred. There is another way the land can be contaminated. “For example, in open cast mining, enormous holes are dug in the ground and these form dangerously deep mining pools. Heaps of mining wastes are left behind and these wastes often contain many poisonous substances that will contaminate the soil.” (Land,
