Scientists have debated whether not going back to the moon is a something we need to do. “Yes America has been there. That doesn’t mean it’s not worth going back... The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is one of the leading organizations in space technology and research. In the past 60 years, NASA has sent numerous satellites, telescopes and crew modules into space. Despite drawbacks in launch failures and lack of funding, NASA continues to focus on its mission in space exploration and technological advancement. One of NASA’s projects is to explore deep space, in which entails a manned missions to Mars, exploration of the asteroid belt, and beyond. With these goals in mind, NASA has engineered new rocketry and even created a program to better allocate costs of such conquests. With these new advancements, NASA has created a new age of how space travel is carried out.

The idea of colonizing the Moon sparks controversy and while there are plenty of downsides, the benefit will be far superior and eliminate any degrading it may cause. Of course, the Moon is a dead, inactive planet as of now, but we can spark light on the satellite. After getting past the debt of colonizing the moon, we will have the potential for building a fueling station and we should have a backup plan for when nuclear war does inevitably happen.

For the last forty years people have been arguing whether if the Moon landings were real. The Moon landings occurred during the late 1960’s and into the early 1970’s. During this time the United States and the Soviet Union were in a competition known as the Space Race. The main objective during the Space Race was for one country to put a man on the Moon. The competition was getting intense, and both countries began expanding their space programs. During the Space Race and the Apollo missions NASA created over 400,000 jobs making it impossible for all of the workers to keep the events a secret if it were fake (Riley). The technology between the two countries was also top of the line at that time. The Soviet Union could track down the United States every move, so therefore if the moon landings were fake; the Soviet Union would clearly know (Allen). With the technological advancements and the jobs created throughout the process of the Apollo missions, it’s obvious that NASA did not fake the Moon landings.

People everywhere take for granted the technology that they have access to everyday, and they would not know what to do without it because they rely on it for almost every aspect in their life. Technology has become apart of the human way of life. Simply step outside and technology can be seen everywhere. It aids not only our nation, but the world as a whole. Yet there was a point an time in history where technology didn't exists; it was just a mere thought. Such an idea was once thought to be inhuman or idiotic. It was portrayed as witch craft, unnatural, and frond upon because people were unwilling to change and accept new ideas. Yet when beliefs are tested, broken down, and explained, then greatness comes about it. There are people who brave enough to test these theories, without them we wouldn't be where we are today. On the day of the rocket launch, they staged an actual rocket launch but no one was inside. The Apollo crew was transferred to Area 51 where there was a movie stage set up to record the fake landing. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin then acted out the lunar landing and NASA transmitted out to the millions of viewers. Technology was available at the time to create a movie set that looked like the moon and film quality believable footage.One woman claimed to see a Coca Cola bottle roll across the bottom of her screen while watching the live broadcast of the moon landing proving that it was filmed at Area 51. Other than pure embarrassment being avoided the landing had to be staged in order to meet Kennedy's 1961 goal of landing a man on the moon before 1970.Coincidentally they walked on the moon in 1969 one year before the deadline Kennedy had set. Over the past 48 years, there has been quite a bit of controversy and speculation about the Apollo 11 moon landing. This supposedly was the first time the United States successfully sent two people, mission commander Neil Armstrong, and his pilot Buzz Aldrin, to the moon. The two men spent 21 hours and 36 minutes of the moon's surface, and steaked the American flag on the moon. They also had photographs and video footage taken of them by NASA. These photos caused many people and also many conspiracy theorist, to look deeper into these doubtful images.

A lot of people believe that we are not too dependent on technology. I spoke to my brother; he stated we just utilize it like we would automobiles or anything else like that. There is no denying the benefits of technology, however, I believe we should not get ahead of ourselves.

Our modern technology dates back thousands and thousands of years ago to the ancient world. If it wasn’t for the civilizations who started this all, we would have very little to no technology, because they were the creators of our world today.
