The landscaping business is very competitive, so it seems like there are a thousand contractors in one town alone. As a landscaper, I stand out in my town; I was described in the local paper as the best landscaper in Bristol. To stand out above the rest, I make sure customers are satisfied, and I do not stop until they are. The typical lawn mowing job involves loading the mower onto the trailer, fueling all the equipment, driving to the job site, and finally mowing the lawn. One needs to put a lot of time and effort into the business. If he wants to grow, he must treat it like a kid or a puppy that needs a lot of nourishment to develop. One must unload the mower from the trailer slowly, collaborate beforehand and divide the tasks so the job gets done faster and efficiently. Ear protection is necessary, to ensure there is no damage to one’s ears during the mowing process. If working alone, one may choose to get weed whacking over with first as that seems to be the unfavorable task. While weed whacking make sure to have a safe distance from flowers or garden decorations to prevent property damage. To start the mower make sure the brakes are engaged, the motor is on the low setting, and the gears are in neutral, pull the “pull start” choke the machine if need be. Put the machine in the first gear and walk it over to the start of the lawn, engage the breaks. Next engage the blades, put the motor on high, and disengage the brakes, pick a spot on the other end of the lawn and walk toward it. Once there, use the breaks to turn, apply pressure on the side of the desired turn and have the machine do a one hundred eighty degree turn. Pick another spot and proceed toward it creating a striping pattern on the lawn, repeat until the entire lawn is done. Go around trees and shrubs using the breaks the same way. Be sure to start off slow because it is possible to lose control and run over a shrub or flowers, and a powerful commercial grade machine will just gobble them
