My most memorable day was being accepted into Laredo Job Corps. I never thought the day would come. Then one morning the phone rang. I did not recognize the number, but decided to answer the call any way. Well, the day came. Wow! I was in. I arrived and spent the day touring the campus with other students that were also admitted. Students everywhere were all cheerful and friendly. I thought to myself this is going to be a great experience for me. I was excited to be involved. I visited the dorms, cafeteria, pool and gym. I got to observe a class in culinary arts. I was invited to stay and bake cookies. I spoke to the instructor and decided I would not go to any other vocation. As I love to bake and this was the place for me. There
The most memorable thing that happened to me would have to be when I got to see my favorite sports team play, the Detroit Tigers. This was my first time ever watching them play and I was excited to see what I was about to encounter. It was a hot summer day when we went to Comerica Park, when we went to go see them play. Our seats we right on the first base line, a perfect spot for a foul ball to come my way. The Tigers were winning throughout the whole game up on the last inning Miguel Cabrera hit a walk off home run that won them the game. Going to the game was a great opportunity for me to get to see the skills and work that they put into the game. This helped me see just how important it is to work as a team and support each other on and
Per your request, I am putting in writing the improvements being made to our “Family Store,” as well as, our vision for the Laredo Corps. Our goal for the store is to expand the sales floor. The warehouse will be used to store inventory, expand our bric-a-brac shelving, and furniture space. The remodeling that has taken place in the warehouse includes, the removal of an inserted plywood wall that separates the connective of the stores’ rooms. We have reorganized the wood shelving and reinforced it, in order, to utilize it effectively. The result of
It was a very positive experience. The institution was a private school, which held us to a higher standard.
A sense of humility came over me as I searched to find my way. It was difficult to make new friendships overnight. In this time I learned to branch out and find the right people to build relationships with. Sometimes it was hard to find the right people. I had optimism that the year would go great, and I overcame the doubts in my mind. The treatment I received from my classmates was humbling. Their appreciation made me feel comfortable in my new surroundings. Looking back to my first day at Larned makes me realize how great it was. I learned valuable lessons about myself and how to become a better person because of
I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to have attended Lone Star College-CyFair. When I arrived, I was not sure what to expect. I think I was quite nervous, because I really did not have a strong sense of direction. But I believed in myself, and the thing that amazed me right away was how much the wonderful people at Lone Star believed in me, too. My first points of contact in admissions and administration were wonderful, and really set a tone.
The first day I visited, I went on a tour around the campus. Seeing the campus of Baylor, was huge but well-organized. I participated in the Christian Leadership Institute on the campus. This camp helped me understand how the campus of Baylor was and taught me life-long skills that I will never forget. During my time at camp, I have met some of closest friends that live all over the country. I felt that I could see myself at this university, compared to anywhere else. I felt as if there was no barrier between one person or another that stopped them from talking to one another. It was a bit daunting not knowing anyone at this camp, but after a week it all seemed to change. I had a different view of Baylor from the first to the last day I visited. Imagining of where I could be, Baylor is a university that I could see
When I toured the school and got to stay overnight with amazing student hosts, not only did I fall in love with the campus, but with the welcoming people, California weather, and the thought of the numerous opportunities awaiting me. It was simply a home away from home.
The single best day I had has a child was when my mom said that she had a surprise in mind for vacation. She didn’t say what it was but said that my brother and I would love it we took a long drive to St. Louis, Missouri to visit the Gateway Arch. This was an unexpected surprise visiting a museum it was a great time waster but my mom said that this wasn’t the surprise. The next day we went to the big surprise which was Six Flags. The first thing that we did there was visit the water park which had a multiple attractions that you had to at least try all of them. Then we went to the Main Park which had of kinds of rides my favorites being the Batman ride and superman ride that they had. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and the single best
Then, out of nowhere, Azusa Pacific University, a small D2 school calls me and tells me they are very interested in me and want me to visit. After telling my uncle of the news, he immediately picked me up from school and drove me out to California, where I would have my first official visit to a university. To most, this was nothing, but to me it was the world. I loved the campus, the people, and the school. Although they were not going to offer me a scholarship, I felt confident that this is where I wanted to go. I applied, got accepted, and planned to begin attending school the following fall.
Job Corps offers opportunities to receive academic and professional success. Because of this, I have several reasons for enrolling in this program. My first reason is I did not succeed in passing the high school graduation test. Secondly, this is another chance to prove to myself that I can do it. Thirdly, my son needs to know just as much as I do that he should never give up on anything ever in life.
The most memorable event in my life was when we moved out from Russia to a country that changes lives and is known as a dream land called the United States of America. When we sat on the airplane that was going toward the United States in August of 2004, we knew our lives are going to be changed in the way we always wanted them to. After twelve years of not going to school and being discriminated by Russian citizens, this moving to a new country was the most amazing, not just in my life generally, but for my entire family as well.
A memorable day I will forever remember is the day I went to the Blackhawks parade when they won the Stanley cup in 2015. I started that day by getting all my clothes ironed. I was so excited for the parade I wanted to look as fresh as possible. I remember going to the market to get ice sodas for the trip because it was going to a very hot day so I needed to stay hydrated. As I finished getting my stuff ready to start heading to the train station my mom gave a hundred bucks to get me through the day if I wanted to get anything while I was in downtown Chicago.
A Memorable day in my life, was, when I went to Walt Disney World. I remember the day like it was yesterday. My Trip to Disney World was the most joyous time in my life. There were so, many things to do, for the whole family to enjoy. My trip Walt Disney World was like a fantasy. Visiting Walt Disney World was more like, an escape from the real world. Visiting Walt Disney World Was an experience. I had the chance to see all of the Disney Characters , That, I've seen on television come to life there.
Throughout my life, there were many days that were significant; however there is only one day that stands from the rest. The most important day of my life is the day I graduated high school. Graduating high school was an emotional day because I felt prepared to exit one stage of my life and optimistic for the next step in my life.
Throughout life I have had many memorable events. The memorable times in my life vary from being the worst times in my life and some being the best, either way they have become milestones that will be remembered forever. The best day of my life was definitely the day that I received my drivers' license. This day is one of the most memorable because of the feelings I had when I received it, the opportunities that were opened up for me and the long lasting benefits that I received from it that still exist today.
