With an unsteady childhood, not knowing the truth behind the secrets, and being obsessed with the media, these motives appear to be the drive behind the mass killings of Ted Bundy. Ted Bundy justifies as a human monster due to his crimes as a serial killer while demonstrating the importance of a nurturing environment, substantiating that real human monsters are more dreadful and fear provoking than those mentioned in fiction, such as Patrick Bateman. Bundy escaped jail by “losing 30 pounds to fit through a small opening he had made in the ceiling of his cell and climbing out. Authorities did not notice this missing of Bundy from his cell until 15 hours later, giving Bundy plenty of time to run and escape” ( Editors).
