“Lazy leadership sounds just awful, right? There’s a reason sloth is one of the seven deadly sins.” According Scott Edinger, contributor to Forbes, a lazy leader is similar to a couch potato. But how does one identify a lazy leader? Lazy leaders can be seen engaging with others while not providing their full attention, checking the same emails attempting to seem busy, or distracting coworkers by discussing unrelated topics during working hours. This type of “fake work” does not help the company to progress in a positive way. Lazy leaders are also always looking for the easy way out of problems instead of focusing on how to solve those problems. These lazy leaders will bring the company down faster than the Titanic. Parents with children younger than five should not inform them of the tragedies going on in the world and should reassured them that everything will be alright. Kids between six and 11 should only be told the basic facts such as a tragedy happening and not give them details such as the number of victims. While this parental advice may seem logical in order to protect one’s children, there are those who have a different point of view on the topic. Some parents may argue that by shielding young kids from the facts that it may put them more at risk of not being in touch with reality. Some parents may believe that tough love will help their children be more aware of their surroundings and keep the out of harm’s way. Both arguments hold truth and one thing both sides may be able to agree on is that tragedies like these hopefully do not continue to
