Leadership Being able to be an effective leader is key to running a successful organization or team. In order to achieve this “A leader must be able to communicate his or her vision in terms that cause followers to buy into it. He or she must communicate clearly and passionately, as passion is contagious. A good leader must have the discipline to work toward his or her vision single-mindedly, as well as to direct his or her actions and those of the team toward the goal. Action is the mark of a leader. A leader doesn’t suffer “analysis paralysis” but is always doing something in pursuit of the vision, inspiring others to do the same.” (comparebusinessproducts.com) By the examples of leadership that I have seen throughout my different leaders/employers I have been able to see the different approaches that have worked and haven’t worked.
The three leadership styles that would be would describe me best would be.
• To not micromanage but to empower my employee
• Be transparent
• Align, don’t fix

Being aligned, transparent and non-micromanaging to the employees are three key components for creating a successful team. Not being a micromanager is important for employees to see. Seeing that the leader trust their decisions making skills and by encouraging creative thinking in the employees are empowering them to take on new challenges and play a bigger role in the success of the team and of the business.
