In regards to the questions I answered, these are the five strengths that showed up; Restorative, Consistency, Arranger, Responsibility, and Learner. I believe that some of these strengths suit me, but not all of them. It appears that I am restorative, which is true. I am very passionate at fixing problems and resolving conflicts. For instance, back in high school, my friends usually talked about their problems. They told me that I am a good listener and I gave good advice. When it comes to unresolved problems, it does not matter if it is about money, belongings or obligation at home. If they need assistance or support I would offer it to them as I am that person who needed things solve. If not, I feel defeated. My second strength that …show more content…
I do not adore people that are self-centered as they only think about themselves and feels that the world revolves around them. Everyone should be treated equally no matter who they are. I have been in a situation where someone, who is now one of my really close friends got judged, fondly, she did not dress the way her color supposed to dress like. Which I think is very stereotypical, one day we had to work with a partner and I noticed that she was alone. So, I asked her if she could be my partner, that day, I knew that she was going to be my friend. Everybody need friends and we should try being one even if we think they are different, we have to stop judging people, instead, we approach and start talking to them, and everyone will join in and it will make difference in their …show more content…
For example; going to the gym every day is my daily routine but I stopped doing it for I procrastinate a lot even if it is for my own good. However, if I am passionate about being a restorative, then I have to be consistent on things that I love about. For I have to plan specific methods on improving on that strength, such as; planning ahead, do not take on too much, batch, and follow an everyday routine. Consistency does not just happen once if I have decided that something important part of my life. I have to book it in, in my calendar and plan that event, and set aside other things. Don't take on too much is a major reason many people are struggling, which I do most of the time, that is one of the reasons that I have to stop procrastinating. Batching, this method is more relevant to my consistency at work and if I am having trouble on doing things. The best thing I can do is to batch my content, making a content an extended period of time can help me. It is so much productive to choose the right time and energy, focusing on one thing. Finally, having a daily routine. It is a great way to be consistent because it largely focuses on me before the demands of life kicking. I can use that time to exercise, journal, meditate, work on3 a personal project, or anything really. It is the chance for me to be consistent and to do it daily. So,
My role is to be someone they trust to help them and to be able to assist at all times when possible.
is setting times for you to do different things so you can have a healthy balance between
For example, I go home on the weekends to visit my mother, and then I go to school Monday through Friday. I also found that I use autonomy and connection in my romantic relationships. My boyfriend and I spend a lot of time together. However, sometimes I feel the need to be independent. I get frustrated if we spend too much time together. He gets upset if I say I want some time alone because he feels like I do not like him anymore if I am not spending time with him. I used the strategy of cyclic alternation to ease the tension in our relationship. I told him that I would hang out with him every day except Friday. I reserved Friday to be a day I could go out with my friends or just spend some time with myself.
I use the sequence pattern as needed. In my day to day life, I use this patteren often. Making sure they're set schedules to getting things done. I set aside time to complete work or homework. My day have to be planned out or everything will be screwed up. Sometimes I plan plan things on top of things. Not even realizing what I done did till later. I do always make sure things are organized and in order.
For example, developing a sensible schedule would make a college student life more bearable. For example, in my schedule, I know what time the bus comes, so I will never miss it and become late for class. I also make time for studying and to complete my assignments. Afterward I try to make some free time for my friends. Basically when a student is making a routine for him/herself it is the same as time management. In my college I take a college success class as it states, “this
For me, it comes down to fitness. I am such a believer that your body is the tool to create personal power and my habit is to literally being in motion or sweating every single day. I have a morning ritual that includes meditation, green smoothies, and reading, but the foundation to it is movement and working out every single day.
I make myself a long list of ‘TO DO LIST’ and follow the list, crossing out what I have managed to do. I prioritize my list and try to follow as close as I can. Nonetheless, in the past, there
The attached profile sheet reflects a panoramic view of my alignment to some of those principles. The seven habits are a “way of thinking, living and doing that is consistent” (Harvey, 2015) with what Covey describes as Principle-centered living (Covey, 2000, p. 59). The seven habits profile sheet measures how we see, perceive our actions and attitudes towards ourselves and towards others.
My life is run by alignment and perfection. Aligning everything on my desk, aligning everything on my computer, aligning everything in my backpack. Perfection in my work, perfection of my personal items, perfection of workout reps at the gym. Alignment and perfection is everything. I can’t stop help it, I just need to perfect and align all of my things. This habit of keeping things organized is so that I can focus on the important things. However, is it more than just a habit? More than a obsession? Is it an addiction to be constantly organized? Yes. I need to have everything aligned to the pixel, to the centimeter, or I can’t let it be. Whether it be using an arrow key or barely tapping the object to get it in line, it must be perfect. Perfection is necessary, perfection is everything, perfection is absolute.
The book 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, by Sean Covey, is a guide for young adults to help them reach their goals. On habit that I am personally strong at is “Sharpen the Saw.” According to the presentation, to Sharpen the Saw is “the habit of daily self renewal.” To renew means to give fresh life or strength to, and this is something I definitely do daily. I always make sure to give myself sometime before I go to bed where I turn off my phone, and then read, draw, organize my room, practice piano, or just stretch.
I am unable to commit one full 24-hour period toward these disciplines but each week, I spend one morning block focusing on these habits. Many Monday I have spent fishing, golfing, or even walking through the woods in time of quiet reflection. I always do things in solitude. The earlier in the morning I often find it better to find solitude and time to be alone in prayer. When I return I nap, rest as my body needs, and spend extended time in journaling, and personal study. I often spend time with my family days that my kids are home from school. We ride bikes, play together and spend intentional time
Daily routines is what I got comfortable with and I don’t like switching it up or being interrupted. For example, my little brother really likes testing my patience and pushing my buttons and he acknowledges that i’m easily triggered. He just does it because he feels like it when he’s bored and he always gets away with it because my parents defend him. Although he gets under my skin at the end of the day he learns from me and i learn from him.
I suppose there is something to be said for a good solid routine. First of all, when one establishes a routine, he or she needn’t think too much; everything just seems to fall into place day after day after day. Once we have our routine down, it simply becomes a matter of setting it in motion and watching everything unfold just as it did the time before and the time before that. Not only do we avoid thinking too much, but we also eliminate that cursed need to demonstrate creativity. Who needs that hassle? In grammar school, teachers taught us the importance of memorization and strict adherence to the order of events. In history, “In fourteen hundred and ninety two, Columbus sailed the ocean blue.” In music, “Every-good-boy-does-fine.” In
I like to think I have many strengths. After review of my character/ personality test, I can see what they are. I am a task-oriented leader, which drives me to finish a project. I have a strong individual work ethic, which allows me to be responsible and not rely on others. I am good at building and leading
Early on I learned the importance of schedules not because I was told too but because I saw I could get more done. At five years old I already had a strict daily routine even on vacation! Each summer my family would rent a beach house over in Fort Myers beach Florida where my brothers would spend all day out in the sun playing and in the water, but not me. I would spend my time doing more than just roasting in the sun building sand castles. I would get up promptly at nine have my breakfast of fruit loops, get dressed for the day, brush my teeth those things. Then around ten thirty I’d head down to the beach with my chair, and I’d watch the waves cascade while reading a children’s book. At lunch, I’d go back to the house to eat my sandwich, which was wonderfully already prepared by my
