A favorite memory I had was when I was around 7 years old. My dad and I went to Lee's Sandwiches and I had my dad get me hot wings instead of a sandwich. After I got my wings (yum!), I left it on the table and followed my dad to the register again to pickup his sandwich. When we came back, the hot wings were gone and we saw a homeless man run away with it outside. My dad ran after him and quickly stopped him, and after I caught up with him, I saw the man apologizing and on the verge of tears. In the middle of his apology, my dad pulled out a $20 bill and handed it over to him, saying he should take it and keep the chicken wings. The man changed his tearful apology to an even more tearful thank you, but my dad just walked away. I never got another
One really fun memory was when I was really little like 4 my mom and I were at my grandparents house and my grandma and mom were talking at the table so my grandpa and I started watching movies on this little tiny DVD player . We were
The biggest memories that come to me are going to church in my hometown. Every Sunday was a special schedule. I got to wear my best clothes of the week, which was usually a dress, long socks, and a bow for my hair. Once my whole family was ready we would walk to church. On our way, my mom would often stop and talk to neighbors. Sometimes I would have to remind her that we were going to church or tell her that we were going to be late. Mass was an hour or so. After mass, my mom and dad would give me money to buy an ice cream or junk food. When I finished my ice cream, we would walk home with neighbors who lived on the same street. Walking home everybody would talk about how beautiful the ceremony was and how well the priest explained the Gospel. I loved the sense I was given by my neighbors. Comforting and belonging is what I felt when I was around them. McClay and McAllister refer to this as “anchor our memories in something more substantial than our thoughts and emotions,” which is my hometown connecting me back to my neighbors at my
Take your hands and twist the off the peanut butter lid in a counterclockwise motion using force as necessary in order to remove the lid to the peanut butter from it’s original secured pattern. Take this lid and throw it to the side of the peanut butter jar. If there is any safety plastic material take your hand and peel off this plastic material until it has come off so that you can access the peanut butter inside of the jar. All material at this point that is not edible nor part of the actual jar can be discarded to the side of the jar.
Another great memory I had was when I went to Myrtle Beach with my mom, grandma, and older brother Vincent. We stayed in a horrible motel it stunk, had bugs, and a small shower but we made the best of it. One day while we was there we were walking on the pier and this disabled man in a wheelchair was fishing and caught a baby shark and he stopped me to show me what he had caught, and he asked me if I did not mind would I throw the shark back in the water and i looked at him like he was crazy and he told me it was okay to pick it the shark up as long and I did not touch near his mouth, so I go
My strongest memory is from when I was in kindergarten. I had to move to a different school. My mom had started going to Cosmetology School in Poplar Bluff. Before we moved I gave my kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Long, a green stuffed poodle.
When I was in elementary school, my grandparents would give me and my siblings twenty dollars if we made A-B Honor Roll. In 4th grade, we decided to treat our family by going to the movies, as we had not been to the movies in almost two years. Our idea was my sister and I would combine our forty dollars and buy the tickets and snacks, and we would have some nice family bonding. Until we met The Bike Woman, a homeless woman we encountered in the parking lot. She walked up to us, rolling her old blue bicycle alongside her and asked if we had any spare change. Without even thinking of it, we handed all forty dollars to her, along with three bottles of water we had in a cooler in the car. She thanked us profusely and even tried to give the money
In 2011 on a very cold December night, my dad told me something that I will never forget. My siblings and I were all sitting in my fathers very out dated apartment, eating hamburger helper and watching a movie on his small 32 inch t.v.
One day my family went out o a really big boat to go to a snorkeling location by Puerto Rico. Fisherman where not aloud to go fishing where we where snorkeling. While we were snorkeling my dad stepped on a sea urchin, it was so not pretty. After snorkeling we went to get ice cream. It wasn't ordinary ice cream it was hand made ice cream! I had a monster cookie waffle cone. It was so delicious I could die. The next day my family went surfing. It was hard at the beginning because all the waves would nock you right off
My step-mom's mom was traeling to our house at seven o'clock in the morning. My dad, step-mom, sister, step-brother, and me were waiting at the house for her. We had some sandwiches to snack on.
I was seven years old and it was in the middle of the summer and I almost got run over by a car. The day was going really good just like any other summer day; I got up, got dressed, ate breakfast, and went outside to play. For breakfast that day we had pancakes that tasted like they were made by angels. Before Chris and I went outside our mom yelled, “Be back by lunch or I’m going to send your dad out there to get you!”
Another memory, was a after school program which I was going to called L.Y.A.O it stands for Latino Youth American Organization. We had a last day celebration which was on May 6 and it was after school, the director told us to bring any dish or desert we wanted to the party and I decided on bringing mini jello cupcakes. Before, we began to eat and socialize to each other , they gave all of us certificates for being part of L.Y.A.O and then we began to eat the dishes and deserts. I sat with my group of friends Michael, Jason, Andrea, Janet, Ashely , and Oscar and we talked and exchange phone numbers and enjoyed that last day like there was no
It was the day of Thanksgiving, we were going to my grandma and grandpa’s house. When we arrived there, the food wasn’t quite done, but the smell of the turkey, potatoes, and the rest of the food was so good. My cousins were sitting in the living room, with my uncle, watching football. I went out in the living room with them, and played on my phone, till the food was done.
I am writing to you today because I came across your open position for a veterinary assistant on Indeed.com. I am currently a college student majoring in biology with an interest in attending veterinary school in the near future.
One of my favorite memories I have is getting my dog, Daisy. Even though I had two dogs before this dog was special. It was a lot of work to get her and it made me more appreciate that I actually got a dog.
My most memorable childhood event was when I was 15 years old. It was the Fourth of July. A big family vacation a barbeque, over night stay and out of town trip to six flags, and I had a blast the night before me, my mom, sisters and brother packed our bags to stay the night over my cousin house in Goodlettsville ,Tennessee. She had the biggest house ever I thought it was a mansion; six bedrooms two an half bath, a swimming pool, a game/movie room with a nice big kitchen. It was something that I was not use, knowing that we stayed in a three bedroom based on an income apartment on the East side of Nashville.
