Feminism has become the great issue in this modern era. The emerging of second wave feminism in the late 60s had bring a huge impact toward the position of women in the society. Women are free from the male values, while women have the equal rights in politic. Women also can quit from their domestic sphere. The movement of feminism still continues in the early 90s. Humorous, energetic, enjoyable and all-around fun, Legally Blonde: The Musical captured my attention from the get-go. This comical yet heartwarming musical portrays the story of a young woman following an ex-love to Harvard Law School only to realize the potential she possessed within herself and in the new life she creates for her own. After viewing this hit Broadway production, I am fascinated with how this theatre play was brought to life on stage with the lighting, sound, spacing and overall entertainment from the cast to the costumes. Altogether, this play is one of my all-time favorite productions and it is one that keeps my attention from the moment it takes off to the closing of the curtain at the end.
Elle Woods is probably best known for her pink pantsuit and funny quotes; however, she should also be remembered for her strong message about woman empowerment. Legally Blonde highlights how women are stereotyped and underrepresented in the workforce. According to A Current Glance at Women in Law, women only make up 27.1% of federal and state judgeships, and women only make 89% of what a man would make in the same job in legal services (American Bar Association, 2017). Elle Woods serves as an inspiration to all woman who wants to go to law school, despite what society thinks of them.
“Legally Blonde” is a wonderful musical because the colorful scenes gives audience a visual enjoyment, and the beautiful music gives them a fresh acoustic experience. “Legally Blonde” is presented by Performance Riverside and RCC Fine & Performing Arts. It is directed and choreographed by Roger Castellano, and the musical director is Dennis Castellano. I went to watch this great show, which was performed at RCC’s Landis Performing Arts Center, on September 27,2014 at 2 p.m. I would like to comment on this musical in three ways: the plot, the design, and the acting.
"I don't need back-ups. I'm going to Harvard." With this line Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon) begin begins her journey to Harvard law in the iconic movie Legally Blonde. This movie follows Elle's progression from sorority girl to Harvard law graduate. After her future is shaken by an unexpected breakup she decides the best way to get her love back is to head to Harvard after him. However, through some unexpected turns, hard work, and hard lessons, she comes out stronger and more accomplished that she could have ever expected. This fun loving movie has many things to offer including a title that clues the audience in on the theme, a well picked lead actress, and a good message.
A story that has influenced my thinking in a better way is Legally Blonde by Amanda Brown. The story introduces Elle Woods, the president of her sorority, a Hawaiian Tropic girl, and Miss June in her campus calendar.
The Coach of the middle school volleyball team decided that the team should go to a really fun camp. The camp was 3 days and 2 nights. We were all excited to go, but not to excited to be at PCA at 6:00am to leave to go to the camp. A lot of people when in the van, but some people road with Coach Rachel. Kendall, Mckenize, Dasha, an I road with Coach.
The movie I chose, is titled Legally Blonde, starring Reese Witherspoon. The movie follows the story of Elle Woods, who seems to have it all. With her stunning blonde hair, sorority sisters, and her rich, senator aspiring boyfriend, she’s sure to have the perfect life. Elle’s world gets turned upside down when her boyfriend, Warner Huntington III, leaves her in the dust for Harvard law school in an attempt to find a “Jackie O” type of woman. Instead of the shallow, unserious, and unwise, “Marilyn”, he claims Elle to be. Feeling desperate, Elle finds her way into law school in an attempt to prove Warner wrong and win him back. She then goes on to win a spot along with Warner and his new
Kelly Marsh’s Written analysis over Legally Blonde, and Trifles is a highly likely outcome for many reasons. Some of these reasons being, she is fair to both sides, has quotes and evidence to support her claim, and lastly being the detail she brings her evidence to you in.
For many people music is way to express themselves or distance themselves from their problems. Overall music means different things to different people and this is how I see music. I recently saw Legally Blonde the Musical in the Mary Jane Teall Theatre at Century II on Sunday October 12th at 2:30 p.m. It was performed by the Music Theatre for Young People which are teenagers (13-18 years old). Even people from the Bishop Carroll Chorus were acting in the musical. Only the main characters of the play had personal microphones and they were hooked on their ear and extended close to the mouth.

It’s 7:00 am and my head counselor wakes up my fellow counselors and I. We then wake up our cabin of 19 boys and get them ready for the day. There is a big day planned full of exciting and enlightening activities which includes yoga, Hindu philosophy, Hindu chanting, a campfire, sports/games, and much more. There’s only one place in the world that includes all of these things and this is the one and only Hindu Heritage Summer Camp (HHSC) in Rochester, New York. Started in 1976 by Devi Parvati, HHSC includes many activities of a traditional summer camp, but mixed with many aspects of Hindu religion. Now, the camp has over 110 campers aged 8-15 years split into 6 cabins ran by counselors aged 16-18 years old. Me, 16 years old, having attended
Legally Blonde, was released in 2001, has the title and packaging that fooled many potential viewers into thinking they were about the dumb blonde joke. Instead, the film encountered a woman-positive character that subverted the dumb blonde stereotype. The movie is about a girl named Elle Woods that is an incredibly feminine and bubbly sorority girl from Los Angeles. She is from a rich family and have been studying Fashion Merchandising. She gets dumped by her boyfriend Warner, so he can “get serious” and date someone “smart” before he goes to law school at Harvard. She made a big effort to pass the LSATS exam with a high score, 179, in order to get in Harvard Law School.
Why read the news in a world filled with “mean world syndrome” that will always leave you feeling pessimistic and depressed at the things that are occurring in the world? This question has come to my mind a great deal of times. I was able to learn about this topic specifically in my high school journalism class. While thinking about what I learned in journalism class and the positive writing experiences that went along with that, I chose a piece of writing that incorporates those joyful moments in that class as well as great memories about the success my brothers and I had on Community Nights. My brothers and I have always taken pride in being fourth generation students at Eastern Christian High School and third generation athletes. It was our mission to help people realize what a privilege it is go to a private Christian school even though it might not be considered “cool” by their friends who go to the local public schools. All of these factors led me to write about what made EC athletics special and how exciting and effective Community Nights are
Every day of my freshman year, excluding Wednesdays, Daylight by Matt and Kim blared over the speakers at 8:26 A.M., alerting stragglers that they had 60 seconds to hurry up and get to second hour. I rushed to my honors chemistry/physics class, eager for the day to continue moving at its currently fast pace. The end of the school year was quickly looming and to relieve the stress off some of the students, my teacher had us participate in an inspirational activity for the entirety of the period. The purpose of this activity was to have students anonymously express to other students the positive characteristics that they embraced. So far, it seemed like an excellent day, but the irony of this particular activity is one that will never be forgotten. May 12, 2015 actually marked one of the worst events to have occurred at my school, and it is one that will forever leave an impact on my life and the way that I view social media.
