The Marketplace simulation helped me realize how complicated and difficult decision making can be when trying to build a company. Among the most important simulation results were utilizing the budgets and pro forma statements. Budgets are beneficial as a financial plan by listing all planned expenses and income. The purpose is to be able to forecast revenues and expenses and create a business model that operates effectively to make sure overhead can be paid.
Supply chains manage the movement of products from the acquisition of raw materials through production and finally distribution to the end user. A properly designed supply chain can create many opportunities to drive down cost and increase revenue opportunities. 1. As I began my journey as a new business owner of a computer company I needed to define my company 's goals, decide which direction I wanted to take the company to and create a mission statement that will best represent my company. Since the company was new I needed to come up with something catchy and promising that would invite potential clients to find out more about the products we offer. Since there were more participants in this game and from my professional experience I learned that staying on the same path and making advancements is more beneficial than trying to change directions every time. In this case I remained focused on the same two groups for the remaining 3
Fedex is the fastest delivery service. Faster than me, faster than cheetahs, faster than god… I will let the decisions arise out of mental thought. All my life I have been blind to the facts, FedEx can deliver before they even know they delivered. Only when I walk in the distribution centers, I will understand the velocity at which these valiant men and women work to get the services one desires. Like a beehive on speed, the boxes and products are alive. Each with the their own story, a brave and exquisite on the path to satisfaction.

The Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) helps develop all the work structure and responsibility structures of a project. There were different issues and inputs during the first meeting between the members. They were considering hiring some qualified referees in the playground to minimize the uneven decisions. They were also discussing about contacting local colleges to find an appropriate field and the entry fees of the players. There was confusion about rewards of the players, they have decided to contact with local corporate sponsors and collect fund. They have decided hiring an artist who will design the unique T-Shirts & Sweatshirts for the players. The WBS will be helpful for Nicolette about how to responsibly distribute, cost estimation, scheduling and resource allocation on the project. This information may also be used in future tournaments. Overall, the WBS will provide a detailed picture on the project and will help create a structure for the activities that needs to be planned and managed.
Redbox is a great example of warehouse and transportation leader. Redbox offers DVD, Blu-Ray, and games in kiosks everywhere renting over a million discs from Redbox’s kiosks every day (Redbox, 2017). This company has the demand planning under control as they have more locations than McDonalds and Starbucks combined. That’s a lot of places. The production scheduling is right on target as the business offers most up to date movies and games. They have an agreement with Warner Bros the new release DVD and Blu-Ray titles available seven days after their retail sell-through date (Redbox, 2017). The lead time can be in minutes of requesting the item you want to rent. A customer may go online to find the nearest location, look for the disc
