I believe this because the legislation makes the laws so that people can follow them .Respect them . The way the state picks the house and senate is by having two per state . When the laws are made the senate and house would have to confirm it to become a law .Therefore , When the state picks the house and senate they have to serve for 6 years . *article 1 section 7 * . this is one of my reasons why I think the legislative have the most power. Body Paragraph 2: Reason 2, evidence 2, explain why this backs you up! Skills: Integration of Evidence; Explanation of Evidence; Word Choice [Basic Outline] My reason number two . They make the money . they make the money so that people can use it . So when people get checks they are using the money that the legislative made so that they can use it . Also the legislative have other jobs too take care of . The legislative have other jobs that they are in charge of or that they do . for example they help out with the military . they also help out during wars . I believe they have the most power because they are busy and they can multitask with any job . They are held responsibly with big jobs so they are the most trusted
As previously stated, the Legislative branch is also shown with more power than the other branches. The chart in document one (1) shows the Judicial branch with four powers, the Executive with nine, and the Legislative with thirteen. This means that the Legislative branch has the same number of powers as the other two branches combined. In the cartoon in document two (2) a similar concept is illustrated. The Judicial
I think that the Legislative branch is the most powerful branch of government. This is because this branch has the power to declare war, which the executive branch and judicial branch can not do. This branch also has the power to to impeach the president by putting him on trial and kick him out. This branch also writes and creates laws which the executive and judicial branch also do not do. This branch also can override the president's veto, with a ⅔ majority vote which gives the branch lots of power.
legislators have the power to get things done for or in the name of the ingredient (a person living in the district from which elected officials a legislative body also functions nonlegislative, including .:
One of my reason is that is The legislative branch is the strongest because they
This point is backed up even more by the time members have before they face re-elections, as in the Senate this period is every six years but only every two in the house. Consequently displaying the implication of House members being less important than that of Senators who have a longer period to make themselves known to their people and carry out their work without the hindrance of elections.
The Legislative Brach of the federal government is made up of two Chambers, the House of Representatives and the Senate. These two bodies draft and pass laws that, if signed by the President of the United States, govern the United States and it's citizens.
I feel the system is biased because there are inequalities among the representation and participation of interest groups and constituents in the political system. Unfortunately, poor and uneducated citizens aren’t as organized as interest groups, lobbyists and PACs because they lack the money, resources and connections necessary to influence congress members on legislative bills. It is evident that, “businesses, interest groups and labor unions are spending more than $100 million a month to lobby the federal government”(Associated Press, SFC, 3/7/98). “The actual population of interest groups in Washington surely reflects that there is a class bias in the membership of interest groups”(JBG).
The Legislative branch is the most important branch of the state since is the only one that has the power to create laws, and is also the representation of the people. Firstly, the greatest power of this branch is creating and voting laws referring to the interest of the state and the people, also laws that are judged necessary and proper, according to the elastic clause of the Constitution. Also, Congress has the power to declare war and regulate taxes. Moreover, the Legislative branch can use the system of checks and balances on the other branches by limiting their power. To regulate the Judicial branch, Congress can refuse Judicial appointments and impeach judges. Furthermore, Congress can override a
The Legislative Branch consists of Congress, which is made up of two parts; The House of Representatives and the Senate. These two parts of Congress was a result of the 1789 Compromise between the Virginia Plan and the New Jersey Plan. The Virginia Plan was about states wanted more representation in Congress because they were bigger states. From that plan the New Jersey Plan was brought forth. The New Jersey Plan basically said was smaller and bigger states should have equal power in Congress, so the bigger states don’t overpower the smaller states. In 1789 the solution came, with Great Compromise that took parts of both plans and used it. As part of the Virginia plan the House of Representatives was created, that gave representation in
I believe the legislative branch has more power according to the constitution. One reason why i believe this is the legislative branch has more power The legislative branch makes the laws for the country. The power includes passing laws, spending bills, and approving treaties. If the President vetoes the law, then the House and Senate can vote again on it. If 2/3rds of both approve, it can become a law anyway. Judges confirmed by the Senate.
In conclusion the judicial branch has the most power in the constitution. I believe this because the judicial branch settles disagreements Those are my three reasons that the judicial branch has the most power because the judicial branch makes the
The legislative branch is the most powerful branch in government. The legislative branch is in charge of making and passing laws. They have the power to override a president’s decision, stop laws from being passed, and basically control all decisions the governments makes. The legislative branch, also called the congress, consists of the House of Representatives and the senate. The reason for two houses of congress is to balance out the concerns of smaller but more populated states against states that are larger but with less population (www.Usgovinfo.com).
When being apart of the legislative branch you have many duties that you have to do, most of them including being leaders, floor debates. The legislative have many different job like looking over the other branches. The legislative branch can check over the executive branch by overriding presidential vetoes, the legislative can also impeach and convict Presidents in the executive branch. The Legislative branch can also check over the Judicial Branch by our government by impeaching federal judges and Supreme Court Justices. They also have the right to confirm or refuse to confirm judge or justices made for the Judicial branch.
There are many debates concerning which branch of government is more powerful. I honestly thought the executive branch was the least powerful of all three, but James Wilson lists a lot of reasons to think otherwise. The argument that the President and the Executive branch is the most powerful is still up in the air, but there are three strong reasons why the President and Executive branch is the most powerful at the moment.
The legislative branch, Congress, has the power to make laws valid for the whole country. Powers like the regulation of taxes, regulation of commerce between the states and with foreign countries, the power to declare war, and the power to impeach the President are some of the issues the legislative branch has to deal with. Congress has two chambers (or "houses"): the Senate and the House of Representatives ("the house").
