[7] He had a firm belief that education must not be delivered in a way which intimidates the students. He averted the philosophy of learning for rewards of European institutes. He was of the view that education should not be the name of molding of students in to some kind similar forms but it should be the name of continuous advancement in knowledge. [8] Even though not very religious, he still considered ‘The Bible’ as a good instrument for educational value. He thought that the Bible can open up a world of knowledge and make the students love knowledge without knowledge. [9] In 1908, he published his book in which he re-wrote the four gospels. His main focus was on the children of the peasants so he wrote the book in bearing in his mind that. He believed that the teachers should consider the psychology of their students both while devising the curriculum and while teaching.
Leo Tolstoy was a Russian novelist who mainly wrote novels and short stories. In the late 1870’s Tolstoy went through an inward crisis. He could not understand his existence, or that of mankind. He tried to overcome this crisis by seeking answers in religion. During his inward crisis he pondered the question of why he lived and what he lived for. Tolstoy thought out his solution: “Live seeking God, and then you will not live without God (creationism.org). Tolstoy believed that the meaning of life was to save one’s soul, and to save his soul he must live godly by renouncing the pleasures of life to labor, humble himself, suffer, and be merciful”(creationism.org). Tolstoy looked to Christianity to find the meaning of life. This period in his life is referred to as Tolstoy’s conversion. It was during this time that he wrote The Death of Ivan Ilyich. In the story the Death of Ivan Ilyich, there are religious themes that Tolstoy has written into the story that reflect the theme of Christianity.

He was raised in Russia and eventually was sent to law school by his parents. After quitting law school Tchaikovsky began studying music at the St. Petersburg Conservatory. He became one of the first Russians to become highly knowledgeable in music. After graduating, he began teaching at the Moscow Conservatory.

Leo Tolstoy, author of “My Confession”, succumbed to a profound emergency. With his most noteworthy works behind him, he discovered his feeling of reason lessening as his VIP and open recognition surged, sinking into a condition of profound wretchedness and sadness regardless of having a vast bequest, great wellbeing for his age, a spouse who had given him fourteen children, and the guarantee of endless artistic acclaim. On the very edge of suicide, he made one final handle at light in the midst of the obscurity of his life presence, swinging to the world 's religious and philosophical conventions for answers to the age-old inquiry with respect to the importance of life.
To categorize art by such vague criteria as expression and form would be difficult if it were not for the several prevailing theories presented by Tolstoy and Bell. According to Tolstoy’s theory of expression, something is art only if it successfully does the following. First, it must have been created with the intention of being art and revealed to an audience through a publicly accessible medium, even if the audience is a single individual. These mediums must be physical things such as shapes, actions, or words in order to be available to its viewers. Second, the medium of art must be an individualized work that has not been replicated or mass-produced. Third, he believes that the art must convey the feeling or emotion that the artist experienced while producing the art. This emotion must also be evoked within the audience. Lastly, the work must require self-mediation or clarification in order to be interpreted by said audience as art. As a result, a work is not required to be about something in order to be art.
He tries to find the spirit of happiness in human beings life and believes that Christianity oppressed the poor, week and slaves and the Christianity is wicked and the source of problems, especially for poor peoples. As he mentions “Christianity remains to this day the greatest misfortune of humanity.” In his book on the genealogy of morality he mentions that “The greatest haters in world history, and the most intelligent, have always been the priests: - nobody else's intelligence stands a chance against the intelligence of priestly revenge”( 17) He blames and accuses the priests and Christianity for the entire problem and believes that our present morality is the result of resentment and hatred toward everything which was powerful, healthy or strong and this morality is harmful for future and present. In Christianity there is nothing attractive or beneficial. On the same page of his book he brings about
Fyodor Mihailovitch Dostoevsky was born on October 30th 1821, in the Moscow hospital for the poor where his father worked as a physician. The living Quarters which were provided for the family by the hospital were far from being adequate. Although the Dostoevsky originally came from the gentry, their financial status had not been promising. Existing on the edge, of poverty, Fyodor's childhood was lonely and overshadowed by the depressing atmosphere of the surroundings of the hospital and the constant quarrels at home. The ill temper of old Dostoevsky did little to bring happiness into the unfortunate circumstances in which the family had to live. Upon the death of his mother in 1837, Dostoevsky was sent to St. Petersburg to attend the College
This fact is directly linked to the subject at hand, because through it he distinguishes and explains the cultural aspect of Russia. It is most essential for us to learn a bit; of what Dostoevsky went through and how does that affect this essay. Dostoevsky's views that are presented in this novel show his dedication to Christ and the ideals expressed by slavophilism. However, Dostoevsky in his early life had doubted Christianity and its ideals. He uses both of the stages in his life to create a greater picture of what he thought should be and should not be affecting Russia.

My overarching philosophy of education is a very simple one: intentional inclusion of everyone and creating a safe haven for all students. In order to accomplish this, the teacher should have a clear understanding of the goal of education, the role of the teacher, responsibilities of the students, roles and opportunities among parents and community member, and the power of knowledge.
