Throughout my life I have encountered many people worthy of admiration. My mom and dad have taught me to look up to people who work hard at life. People who choose to be kind to others make the world a better place. The person I value the most acquires these traits. She is the mother of my best friend and is very close to my family. Leslie Harris is a kind, charismatic person, and I have grown to truly admire her. Leslie’s kindness and concern for others are very admirable. First, she is a kind and happy person. Leslie has so many wonderful friends that adore her. Most any one she comes in contact with becomes her friend. She will talk to any one and every one. When it comes to parties, Leslie is the social butterfly. She always makes …show more content…
Her oldest son is married and has a new born baby that takes a lot of work to care for. She supports them in any was she can. Even with a family as big as her she can still be a very supportive mother to everyone. Along with being supportive, Leslie is very giving of her time. There are eight people in the Harris family. This includes a married son, two college girls, one high school boy, one junior high girl, and a boy in grade school. Leslie also has three dogs and a 9 month old baby that she has part time custody of. Although she has a big family, she always makes time for each child and her friends. She took in a baby from a homeless lady at her church and watches and provides for him. Also, a few years back Leslie brought Manuel, her junior high kid, into her home from the streets of Mexico to stay and live with them. Even with all her family and friends, she still finds the time to be selfless and give her time to everyone. Leslie is the most kindhearted and caring person in my life. In addition to her kindness Leslie has other aspects of her personality. Responsibility is an attribute that she proves in all the work she does in her life. She is able to keep track of every child running in and out of her house through all hours of the day. When there is a practice one and more of her children have to be at, she has them there on time. Although her life is extremely crazy, she never
The odds were against Sherman Alexie on that day in October 1966. Not only was he born a minority, but he was also hydrocephalic. At the age of 6 months, he had a brain operation, but was not expected to live. Though he pulled through, doctors predicted he would be severely mentally retarded. Fortunately, they were wrong, but he did suffer through seizures and wet his bed throughout his childhood ("What" 1).
“I treat every [special] needs child the way I would expect Natalie to be treated and every special needs adult as if they were my family,” she says. “With respect and

I thoroughly enjoyed my time working with Natalie. She is honest, dependable, and incredibly hard-working. Beyond that, Natalie is an intellectually impressive and ambitious student who is always ready to further herself in any program. Along with her undeniable talent, Natalie has always been an absolute joy to work with.
The person that I have great admiration for is my mother. She has such a great quality of love, forgiveness, sincerity, helping others in need, and has a great outlook in life without being so negative. 2.
Throughout our time working as team members, Gina consistently displayed a remarkable ability to cope not only in high stress situations, but to actually thrive in them. A pleasant person to work with, Gina is forthright; but neither intimidates nor intrudes. She is genuinely friendly and honest. You will be impressed with her authentic and professional manner.
It has helped her become who she is and aspires to be; however, her whole world changes when she discovers she is actually from her city's rival, Eagleton, Indiana. Discovering this caused an unsureness to Leslie, challenging everything about herself and her life. Experiencing a change in identity is very arduous to undergo, and I have always wondered how she felt and grew from this major setback. While enduring these rough situations throughout the show, Leslie is known for her positive attitude, I would want to discuss how she always stays positive even in the negative and harsh circumstances. She always looks on the bright side of situations, and I admire that.
Throughout the seasons, Leslie becomes a city council member and is elected as Governor of Indiana, all while aspiring to become President of the United States some day. Leslie Knope is a positive ray of sunshine who shuts down sexism and does whatever she can to help others, and is, therefore, a good role model.

She wasn’t ever afraid of what other people thought of her, one of her most admirable traits. She simply does what she believes is best for her and truly brings the most meaning to what it means to live one’s life to the fullest.
