Our nation past was, well, not always perfect. Without some of our veterans, our country wouldn’t be as free as it is. Veterans continue to make our country a free country, which also makes it a better place to live in. Veterans stood up for our country; whether the ones forced to go during the draft, or the ones who voluntarily go. Whether the cause, they were always ready to go and fight for the people’s freedom. We really do see how great these people are, I mean, they risked their life for ours to be

Saying “The Pledge of Allegiance” and singing “The Star Spangled Banner” makes me feel so proud to live here. Listening to veterans tell stories about wars is so interesting. You wonder how they survived and how some are still willing to go out and fight. When you see a veteran, you realize that this is your home. These veterans have given me a life most people would love to have. These veterans stood up for what they believed in. I will never meet all of them, but I will never be able to express how thankful I am. These veterans are people we pass every day, they don’t expect a thank you. We lose about 1,000 World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam veterans everyday. They should be thanked a lot

America's veterans, they have laid their life on the line in ways only they will ever know. They have survived living nightmares and are left with permanent scars. Some of these scars are easy to see, others are too deep, all are painful. They have come home to emptiness and desolation. Many come home to no home at all. They are left living on the streets and struggling to find work, or simply deal with life after war. America's veteran's deserve better than this. America's veterans deserve better care and aid through more housing programs, higher health care standards and greater counseling opportunities.

     My grandfather, Larry, served in WWII. He enlisted and stationed at Camp Polk. He went through places like New Guinea and the Philippines during the war.

Not many people would withstand having to go off to war knowing their life was on the line. There is much respect and gratitude inclined towards those who did and sacrificed everything they had. The U.S Department Veteran’s Affairs (VA) provides a wide range of benefits for our service members, veterans and their families. Some of these benefits include but are not limited to include compensation, disability, education, and home loans. Throughout this paper I will discuss these benefits and the eligibility required to receive them. Eligibility for most VA benefits is based on type of discharge received through the military which is normally all discharges under other than dishonorable conditions.

I would like to thank you for the time that you have sacrificed. I am so very grateful for the hours and hours of dedication you have put forth. Your constant bravery and courage shows the type of person that you chose to be. I couldn't be more appreciative that you are willing to risk your life for others. Not many people are willing to stand up and fight for our freedom but you did and I am very thankful for that. You served for my freedom to live a free and enjoyable life. I hope that you have had one of the best days today, at the Washington D.C. memorial. Thank you for stepping forward when no one else would.

I have some family members that are supporting our country like you did. I’m not even sure where to begin to show my gratitude that I have for your service. Thank you so very much for sacrificing everything you had so that we could live in freedom. I am so happy for you that there is a program where you are able to go to Washington and visit the great places that this country has to offer. Thank you so much again for your service!

To all the veterans in this country I say, “Thank you”, Your gift of willingness to fight for this country, to preserve our freedom which you have fought for and endowed us with cannot be equaled. Through your bravery and courage, you have been selfless and devoted to all Americans; so thank you on behalf of all of everyone. America truly is the land of the free because of the brave.

In the United States, soldiers are currently returning home from war broken and scarred. While some physical wounds are clearly visible others are often hidden/invisible to the naked eye, but men and women proudly wear these wounds as a badge of courage and honor for protecting our nation. These men and women come home rightfully expecting help, assistance and care and get hit with the reality of poor care from the Veteran Health Administration and Department of Defense.

I wish to invite you to the first Veteran’s Club Meeting of the semester. The Meeting will be held on the Logan Campus in the Veteran’s Lounge on September 1st beginning at noon. The event is still two weeks out; however, this will help you plan. I have attached the flyer for this event, if you wish to view.

I'm not really the best at writing letters but I know that I mean what I’m about to write.Me and my family support the military no matter what and do our fair share to help out all we can.All though we do a lot for you guys there is nothing we can do too repay you.
