I am writing this letter to let you know that I am so very thankful and honored to have been awarded the William Scholarship for 2015-2016. I want to thank the William family for the astonishing opportunity I was able to have and for that I am thankful. During my first quarter freshman year at Trinity, I was able to incorporate so much vigorously, academically, and educationally. I had many accomplishments I thought were never possible. With the opportunity I was given, I got baptized and in addition to that I made the decision to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. I was given a new and bold perspective on life. During this time I discovered more about myself as a person. Fitting in is something, a struggle most kids have to endure. At Trinity Catholic I did not even have to try, I fit in and my leadership skills led me into doing that. I am hoping to be accepted to the William Scholarship for 2016-2017 as it is a wonderful opportunity for me to continue to pursue my dream to live up to my full potential. Receiving the William Scholarship has given me the chance to take advantage of all the Trinity has to offer. It has provided me with the chance to become a better person, a more well-rounded student, and gained a more perceptive mind. …show more content…
It took long hours and dedication to get me at this point where I stand today. I now see learning differently, and want to go to school ready to do hard work and learn. Having more time and moving forward will sharpen my knowledge and my career will be very bright. That motivates me to try and work hard knowing there is way more to come for me in the future. I would be very grateful to be accepted for this scholarship and would cherish it for a

Coming into high school as a Freshman I
Ever since my elementary years, I have taken my education and the work I do seriously. My dedication to the qualities of scholarship, character, leadership, and service have helped me during my high school experience as high school was a eye-opener for a young girl with big dreams. A quote that is to mind when I think about what dedication to scholarship and character means to me is one by St. Jerome; “Good, better, best. Never let it rest. 'Til your good is better and your better is best.” I have always gone past the point that is the best I can do in my academics accomplishments, building my character, being a leader, and helping others. I take pride in the fact that I work hard, push myself, and excel

Scholarship can be defined as “academic study or achievement; learning at a high level.” I have always considered myself to be very driven and motivated when it comes to my education. I take pride in the fact that I have received “A honor roll” every year, thus far. But, up until this point, making good grades has come naturally and I have found that the longer I am in school, the more difficult making the grade becomes --
I am reaching out to you in regards to the privately funded scholarships that are available for undergraduate students for the upcoming academic year. Attached to this email is my cover letter and resume. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to be considered to receive a scholarship from the Scholarship Committee.
Scholarship isn’t just a commitment of learning for me, but more of a priority to learn. I view this pillar and an opportunity to challenge myself to my fullest potential. I challenge myself by taking every honors/ap course that is given because it makes me commit to do my very best at all times. My love for learning wasn’t always so strong. There was a period in my life where I actually hated school. All through elementary school, I never understood why school was so important; it all seemed like a waste of time. However, my seventh grade science teacher lit a spark in me and ever since then my love for learning has only grown. Therefore, I make a commitment every year to do the best I can in school because we are a country who has the privilege of free education. At the end of the day I would rather get an A on a paper that I know I worked hard on for hours and skipped out on spending time with my
