It was a cold winter night on the force, just got a peculiar call from the weaver family, billy, their son has gone missing he had just arrived in bath for a business trip. That's the third time someone has gone missing in the last three years, first it was mr. mulholland then it was mr. temple now billy, chief buttercup butted in. and they all went missing by the bed and breakfast place on the way to the bell and dragon. Since i'm the best on the force they decided to send me to inspect the scene only god knows what is in store for me. Since two other people have gone missing there they decided to dispatch lieutenant Lushas to come with me because it was so dangerous. We drove down in the squad car, we will go undercover to see if she tries to kill us too. We stood looking at the facade, seems cozy lushas said, ya a little to cozy. Wering the doorbell we can hear the ding on the inside. she jumps out surprisingly quick, may I help you she says. So we asked if she had any vacancies she waited one minute then looked at us both very strange then said I think i can work yall in somewhere. …show more content…
She saw me looking at the dog and said I taxidermy all my pets myself, you taxidermy them Lushas said, yes I do it myself she said. He looks at me with a suspicious look. She takes us to our rooms and as we walk down the hallway it looks like the fire in the gaslamp is dancing in the fixture and making a very intimidating figure on the wall. We went in our room, there was a hot water bottle in our bed. Before you go to bed tonight make sure to come downstairs and sign the guest book, she added in the conversation. So we put our clothes away and went down stairs and signed the guest book, we saw all three names in the book, she said billy weaver in a weird raspy voice like fingernails on a chalk
We look at the house and then back at each other. I knew what she was thinking before she said it and then she speaks up with “I triple dog dare you to knock on the house’s door and say trick or treat.” I was hesitant...very hesitant, but I said “Ok i’m not scared of anything” knowing deep down inside I wanted to go home and crawl in bed with my teddy bear.I felt my stomach turn flips as I edged closer and closer to the door. I walked up the stairs with each step making an eerie sound. I had finally reached the door. I looked back at Kayla who was still standing on the sidewalk. “ Kayla come on!” I yelled. Kayla scurried on the porch saying “i'm not knocking or saying anything.” I knocked on the door. Twice the first time, and three more times after that. “I told you I wasn't chicken Kayla. Nobody even lives in this old abandoned, broke down, sorry excuse of a house” . By the time I said that the house began to shake and windows opened and closed. We tried to run but there
It began the morning of September 1, we slept soundly through the night as we had always, but this time it was different. I heard ringing from the hallway but I wasn’t sure what it was, I peeked through the doorway, there was a creature standing there about to come in my room I slammed his head in and he suddenly stopped. As I went back to sleep and after five minutes I heard it again, this time the creature
Day after day, we would pass the mansion building on our way to and from school. Branches of vines and clusters of moss crawled up the sides of the building. I could see the paint, tearing off the walls. People for years have said the mansion building is haunted, but I don’t believe it. They say people have been possessed and killed there. Olivia, of course, believes every detail anyone tells him. To teach him a lesson, we decided to plan to spend the night in the mansion building this Saturday.
“It’d be better if I go off to bed now,” said Billy, briskly arising off the couch. He started scaling the stairs. Hazel swirls encompassed the entirety of each step his foot rested upon. The Landlady closely followed, frolicking impatiently with her red, darting fingernails and examining Billy’s entire body.
Day 2 – Horatio, Marcellus, and Barnardo approached me with exciting, and hopeful news tonight! They told me that they saw the ghost of
“Come in.” Ralph walked in. “What can I do for you lad?” Ralph looked around the room and saw a control panel and a communicating system. There was a picture of a woman and two children. Ralph assumed that they were the captain’s family.
They dance across his face until her eyes finally flutter open. She stretches and slowly gets up to go prepare some breakfast. Ever since Jasper began staying in her guest room, she thought it was appropriate to make breakfast every morning for them. As she passed Jaspers room, she peaked in, then stopped dead in her tracks. He was still gone. She quickly walked downstairs and scanned the entire house. No Jasper. In a bit of a panic now, she was brought back to reality by a knock on the door. She ran to open it. “Jasp-,” she was silenced almost immediately. This wasn’t Jasper, it was a police officer. “Hello, are you miss Rosa Bud?” “Yes, that’s me,” Rosa stated. “I’m very sorry to inform you that your friend John Jasper, is dead.” Rosa stared. “He’s what?” “He and another man got into quite a fight last night” “Do you happen to know the other mans name?” Rosa managed to get out. “His name was Neville Landless, I must go now though, I’m sorry about your loss,” the officer said, tipped his hat, and left without another
Most of them were well kept, gaudy paint fresh, brass fittings shining, flowers in pots on the deck, but some of then looked neglected, and squatted low in the water, as though mourning their lost brilliance. There was a kitchen chair lying on its side on one of them. The man had been sitting on a chair much like that, she recalled, shoulders slumped, hands dangling between spread thighs, but he’d straightened up and his face had brightened when she’d looked at him, as if he’d recognised her and she was important to him. She stooped to look through the window, and a dog hurled itself at her shadow, barking hysterically. Others joined in; it sounded as if they had turned on each other. She backed away, imagining their snapping jaws, their flat arrow shaped skulls and dead eyes, and ran back along the path and up the steps to the
Kurapika was losing time, losing focus, losing all awareness of everything except Leorio’s lips and his hands and how fucking good he was making him feel. Desire had seized him like a tidal wave, sweeping away his earlier shyness, and it all happened so naturally Kurapika couldn’t help wondering why he’d been so reluctant in the first place.
The men were asking questions who he is and the building. The men was most intrigued about the Landlady. He felt another another daily stinging in his neck. He woke up again in a dark and musky room. He noticed a wooden oily smell, and then all the stuffed objects around him. It was almost as if he had a brief sight of the future. As he walked out of the room the stuffed people and animals stared him down. He saw the landlady and she asked him if that was his first
I woke to a sound I could not identify. I immediately jumped out of my bed from the loud noise and fear of the unknown sound. After getting the courage to check out the noise. I grabbed my bat and house slippers a slowly made my way toward the hallway. It was dark and I could barely see in front of my face. When I reached my hand out to find the banister for the stairway I felt someone’s hand already there. I screamed instantly and turned on the light. It was my sister Karen standing there with an umbrella. Karen was so scared she had her eye’s closed with the umbrella open. I asked, “what are you doing in the hall with an umbrella”? she replied, “I heard a scary noise downstairs and was going to check what it was”. I started to chuckle and
She couldn’t believe what she saw. It was a big ugly old dog that smelled. She asked her parents what it was. Dr. and Mrs. Vandertramp explained to her that they thought that instead of getting her an older shelter dog that had no home would be nice. She was furious! When they asked her what she was going to name him she said “Well he’s old and stinky so I’ll call him…Old Smeller!”. And after saying that she went up(Monter) the stairs to her room. As she went up she told Old Smeller to stay(Rester) right where he was. She didn’t want him to enter(Entrer) her room and make it all stinky. Once she was upstairs she put her pajamas on and went to bed. The next morning, she woke up to Old Smeller licking her face. She was laughing until she remembered that she had hated the dog last night. So she pushed him off the bed and got ready for school. When she came back home Old Smeller was waiting at the door for her. She found herself smiling at the sight of the old dog trotting around by the door. Lilian thought that maybe he wouldn’t stink so much if she gave him a bath so she washed him off outside and then took him on a walk to dry him off. So once he didn’t smell as gross and the dirt in his fur was washed off he didn’t
“But weren't you jus...” She cut me off, “just get your ass in here.” She had a strong accent from the Federation of Caribbean States. I quickly jump through her door dragging my sleeping bag and cats with me. The stomping boots come to an abrupt stop and I hear muffled yelling from outside in the alleyway and the woman lifts a rug and grabs a hatch to open a trapdoor into a small dank room not tall enough to stand in with a faded neon green bean bag chair. I get in dragging my stuff behind me as the trap door closes I hear the front door open.
Hailey had gotten her doll in the mailbox. Seeing as there was no name on the box and no return address, she didn’t know whom it was sent from. The doll was the most amazing creature Hailey had ever seen. It had long blonde hair, with gorgeous eyes, that looked too real in her porcelain face. It reminded her of her mother. Hailey took out the doll from the box, when she suddenly notice an envelope attached to the bottom. The envelope said “For you”, as It got more exited for Hailey to see what was in the envelope it said “I’m back, we’ll never be apart again xoxo” Hailey was totally freaked out when she read it, she had only seen something similar in movies, and this happening in real life was unbelievable. As she continued to read the card over and over again, she looked at the doll. The doll looked right back a her, which was very bizarre, because right before she opened the box it had her eyes closed. As more she looked at her face the face began to be creepier, the smile on its face were even creepier. Hailey thought she was going to get crazy, because dolls don’t move at all in real life. Suddenly it began to rain, and the dark was coming, Hailey ran inside her apartment and laid the envelope on her table, and putted the doll in the corner
The tent lit up and I saw the formations of the animals outside as shadows on the tent, looking like some weird shadow puppet show. The shadows crawled around the tent, brushing up against it now and then. Being the ten year old I was, shivering in my sleeping bag, I flicked the light off and pulled the extra covers over my head. I lay like this, deadly silent, waiting for morning. Suddenly I heard a zipping noise, still petrified I thought to myself, It’s mom and dad!
