The book of life, one full of opportunities and experiences which have shaped me into who I am today. Exposure at an early age to take care of my mother who is a chronic asthma patient, introduced me to the world of health. I am the first in my family to pursue a doctorate in the health area. This, in order to explore and improve the quality of life of those around me, and wherever I plant my roots. I grew up in a high-crime urban area, which forced us to retreat to a countryside out of the city. For accessibility and economic issues, we often resorted to natural medication of medicinal herbs and spices. But sometimes misinformation about use, complicated the circumstances. This among other factors, were the rail lines that motivated me to use the medicine as a train to reach some of my passions: expand my knowledge in technics and experiences to improve directly the quality of life of people, drug information centers, and bring my energies in places marginalized, where are a real need for health care. The decision toward medicine has been reinforced with courses and academic experiences that have developed inside my dreams an intimate curiosity of passion about human health and rights. Courses as Physiological Psychology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Biochemistry, opened paths in my life to internalize about how physiology affects human behavior, how our body works, and how drugs and food affect our body at molecular level.
