Briefly share your nursing background and professional interests. My nursing background is in women and children’s health care. As a clinician, I have practiced in acute and primary care settings. My professional interests include nursing genomics, nursing leadership, and new program development.

I am a mental health nurse in Georgia State, and I currently work with the Veterans at VA medical center in Atlanta. I am presently pursing an advanced practice nursing education with concentration in family practice nurse practitioner program.

Providence Home Care LLC offers home care and private duty services. Some of the home health services include wound care, hospital prevention protocol, skilled and psychiatric nursing, monitoring chronic illness, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, patient and caregiver education, and more. Providence Home Care LLC has been awarded for being a National Top 500 Agency. This home health care facility is also the winner of the Quality Excellence Award.

Using the SMART method, my long term goal is to continue my work as a CNA while applying for healthcare administrator positions. I would like to work as an administrator for at least 3 years for any medical setting. While working, I will be looking into ways on how I can own and operate a home healthcare agency. According to Marak, (2017), I really don’t need to have experience in the medical industry; I would just need to have the passion for providing care, the marketing savvy, an understanding of business knowledge, and integrity. I believe that this technique would embrace her strengths in respect to the reoccurring traumatic events in her life and it would be a starting point for positive change. I would not want to draw attention to her “problems” or “what is wrong” because she may get defensive or may not be ready to face her problems.
