“Is Everest a Metaphor for Life?” “Almost everything worthwhile carries with it some sort of risk, whether it's starting a new business, whether it's leaving home, whether its getting married, or whether it’s flying in space.”-Chris Hadfield Is it just that every second of every day we take a risk? Us humans take risks every day . There is not any certain way to live life. Maybe we should consider doing things different? Now thinking positive how are you considering things easier. Take precautions to every risk. There is always a positive and negative affect. Life's wonderful , it's just what we don’t usually do when we do. Why is that? I would not agree with this because, life's an ultimate risk.”Life is inherently risky”-(Denis Waitley) .There is only one big risk you should avoid at all cost, and that is the risk of doing nothing”. Don’t do nothing , start your success off right with doing the things you love.” If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary.”-(Jim Rohn) People don't settle for less than what you can achieve .”When you take risks you learn that there is times where you succeed and there will be times when you fail, and both are equally important.” -( Ellen De Generous). There is always the fear that comes along while taking risks, Don’t be afraid of making mistakes, an average person makes along while going on their way climbing the mountain. Anybody who takes a full role in society takes risks: crossing the road, using a bus, driving a car, and talking to people they do not know. Risk may be physical (injury and accident), emotional (humiliation, sense of failure), or mental (stress).
“Don't be afraid to have a reality check. Taking risks is OK, but you must be realistic.” -Joy Mangano. This quote proves that people can take risks, but they shouldn’t put themselves or others in danger.
Reluctance to take risks is overcome by giving people reassurance, making them feel comfortable and boosting their confidence.
Beowulf set his ego aside and hurdled into the face of danger in order to defeat a greater evil and liberate the people of Heorot from the demonic grasp of Grendel. The crew aboard the Challenger brought America together and helped us insure the safety of future astronauts. Tom pushed his body to the edge to live the life he dreamed of. Risks are imperative in life. Even beginning life, they are our instinct. We learn to crawl despite the bruises on our knees. We learn to walk no matter how many falls we endure. As we become further aware of the world around us, somewhere along the way, we experience failure; at that point, many people attempt to eradicate most risks from their life. But where would we be without our sense of exploration, our willingness to try new things? In order to push one’s boundaries, move forward as a society, and give purpose to life people must be willing to take risks.
I believe in taking risks. This doesn’t mean needlessly risking your life, but rather getting outside of your comfort zone to grow and expand. My regrets have relentlessly drilled this lesson into my head.
Nicola Yoon is an influential author who believes that in order to succeed everyone needs to take risks. First of all, Nicola said, “You're not living if you're not regretting.” She instructs everyone that they should make most of the opportunities that are presented, even if they end up being a total fail.“Everything's a risk. Not doing anything is a risk. It's up to you.” Clearly, Nicola is trying to demonstrate that sometimes everyone needs to take chances in order to thrive. Also, she stated, “You can't predict the future. It turns out that you can't predict the past either.” Finally, the author claims that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes people have to fall in order to get to their highest point of accomplishment. In conclusion,
The article posed a question, “Do we take calculated risks and aim for the biggest possible rewards? Or do we go out of our way to make sure pain, errors and failures are kept to a minimum?” The answers to these questions are different for every person, we are unique in how we handle our lives. This question really gave me the opportunity to reflect on what I do. Depending on the situation I have seen myself say yes to both of those questions. People
Peter Gwin said the mystery of risk can make people willing to do things which they had never tried before although they might lose something or get a bad result (Gwin, p5). I can’t agree his opinion any more. Just like my personal experience. I left my dearest family, my friends, and all the familiar people then came to American. I don’t
I’m not afraid to try something for the first time or go in a different direction and fail. It’s either I’m going to sink or swim in the situation. And when I know that I’m taking a big risk I give myself a motivation speech and just go with my intuition. When I’m applying for certain jobs and looking at the requirements needed and based upon my qualifications and job history, there could be a slight chance that I could get that job but me being confident I took that risk in applying for it even though there is someone else out there that is probably more qualified than
To lead a positive lifestyle that garners success, we should pick our paths for ourselves, neglecting
I am a firm believer in taking risks; taking risks invigorate the mind, the body, and the spirit. Choosing to take a chance despite possible repercussions is what composes an incredible life experience. Throwing caution to the wind by taking risks is sometimes necessary if one desires to live an extraordinary life. Throughout life everyone has opportunities to jump outside of their comfort zones, but the question remains to be, “Will they take the risk required to do so?” Last summer I was given the opportunity to be a camp counselor for elementary aged girls. I accepted the invitation, fully aware that by taking this risk I was also accepting the possible ramifications of my summer away from home. By seizing the opportunity to be a camp counselor, I gained knowledge that I would not have gained had I not been in that situation. By taking this chance, I accomplished something that was a significant milestone in my journey to adulthood.
A risk always has two results, first, holds a success and second, an experience of failure.
Just what is it about taking risks which scare people so much? These are not the types of risks that put your life in danger - we are referring to risks one must make to initiate change. They are not comfortable risks - no risk ever is - but rather are moves that require people to step outside their comfort zones.
When taking a risk there is many things or obstacles that might stumble in your way. Even though someone has the courage to give their all it might not always end up how we want it to or how we expect it to be. Life is all about giving it all you got and giving it a chance because without stumbles and falls, we will never know how life will treat us in the future. It will have many challenges that we will accomplish.
The word “risk” means the possibility of suffering a harmful event. Risk taking can bring either positive or negative result because anytime we take risks in life, there is a possibility of loss which can cause tension. There are a lot of people who take big risks and appear not to be affected by them. But, many of us feel very uneasy when faced with risk-taking; we may become worried about the risk. Although some people are content in life by just playing it safe and not courting any
