The Chicago music scene has been on fire as of late, and Whitney is one of the flames that burns the brightest. Formed by some of the remnants of the Smith Westerns, Julien Ehrlich and Max Kakacek got together to make music that pulls from Americana folk and country as well as bits of Midwest soul. They have mastered fusing their modern sound with spurts of the past that seamlessly makes their music familiar yet foreign. In 2015, they signed with Secretly Canadian after dabbling around in solo projects and performances due to the Smith Westerns break up. Kakacek and Ehrlich kept in contact and with a few sessions that eventually lead to tours supporting other bands; the band released their impressive album Light Upon the Lake in mid-2016. Kakacek,
In the short story “Greasy Lake,” the author T. Coraghessan Boyle introduces us to the narrator and his group of friends who are going to Greasy Lake to have some fun like the rest of the kids their age. Although the author does not give us the name of the narrator, we learn that he is nineteen just like his other two friends. As the story progresses, we learn that after arriving at the lake, they confuse someone’s car for their friend Tony Lovett’s car, so they decide to play a little joke. They soon learn that it is not Tony but rather a stranger who is looking for trouble and wants to pick a fight with them. After looking for trouble with this bad character’s girlfriend, they bolted out of the scene when a second car arrived.

Lake Placid 3 can be a video from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, that is going to DVD later this month (October 26th). The picture debuted around the SyFy station July 21st and also the first film in the line was made long ago in 1999. The edition assessed this is actually the unrated content with loads of T & A, with all the best performance via Yancy Butler (Kickass) since the lout and part time hunter, Reba. Betty White has long been ignored inside the first picture and her alternatives, a bunch of small twenty somethings, certainly are a poor, soon-to-be useless alternative. Not so cuttingedge and never really family honest, Lake Placid 3 is simply plain average.

"Greasy Lake," by T. Coraghessan Boyle, is a short story about three teenage boys seeking and finding trouble on a summer night. These boys wander around town and decide to go to Greasy Lake to drink some gin. While there, they see someone who they think is their friend and turn on the their brights and lay on the horn. Consequently, this is not their friend and the guy in the car is not happy. They all begin to fight and the guy from the cars winds up knocked out. Though the girl from the car still leads to an issue, the three boys attempt to rape her and end up in a mess. More people arrive and these three have to run, leading the narrator to find a dead body in the lake. Although these boys wanted the crazy night, they were now ready to head home to the comfort of their bed. They learned their lesson and were on the point of tears, they definitely will not be doing that again. Boyle implies that there are many perceptions of the universal term "bad," and that often people can't truly understand the definition until they encounter that threatening situation.
This article, titled “New Ages for Human Occupation and Climatic Change at Lake Mungo, Australia,” was written by James M. Bowler, Harvey Johnston, Jon M. Olley, and John R. Prescott et al and is about the ages of the three different human remains that are located at the Lake Mungo site, which is in New South Wales Australia. It tells about Lake Mungo I, Lake Mungo II, and Lake Mungo III, which are all different remains of the oldest living humans in Australia. The article also says that the remains are forty thousand years old and that their mitochondrial DNA is estimated to be between thirty thousand years old and forty-two thousand years old (Bowler, Johnston, Olley, et al). The climatic change has aged these three different human remains in ways that is significant for archaeologists.

Green Lake in the Bishop Creek Canyon is a sacred place and the happy hunting ground for the ancestors of the Paiute people. Evidence of the habitation of these people goes back thousands of years and indicates that this area was of prime importance for food gathering. The men hunted deer and mountain sheep while the women and children gathered and prepared food. Everybody pitched in on all the other chores like making camp.
Every story has its own unique setting. The setting is very crucial for creating the basic background of the story. Mary Lawson does a fantastic job of creating such setting that made the story outstanding and willing to read more. Crow Lake takes place in Canada, Northern Ontario, in an isolated farmland, Crow Lake. It is a country side and it takes hours just to drive to the cities. There are number of families living there, including the Morrison family. It is during the early 1900s and the story begins with a great new of the Morrison family. The eldest son, Luke, gets accepted into teacher’s college which was very difficult to get into because education was very rare during that time period. The following day however, a tragedy hits the
After getting the ax from Elkton hills my parents thought I had behavior problems and all, so they decided to send me to Camp Blue Lake during the summer. The camp supposedly was going to make me more responsible and better at following orders, as if making kids run two miles every morning and tie knots molded them into responsible young men. I didn't really learn much, it's not like I had any issues to begin with. The the camp was fine i guess, except for this one guy named Ben; a moron who did idiotic acts to fulfill his need of attention. I loathed that guy, I really did. Just by screwing around in front of the officers that sonuvabitch was able to gain admiration and popularity within Blue Lake. His phoniness made
My composition is entitled Sunday by the Lake. We are residents of the Houston area, a huge urban environment plagued by traffic, crime, and growing industrial development. Often, Sunday presents the opportunity to rest and visit Lake Houston, which is only a ten-minute drive from my home. Lake Houston is my escape from the stress of Houston. My children generally accompany me to the lake, playing in the playground, running and screaming. Although loud, their laughter adds to the natural music I find at the lake. We take a lakeside stroll, chat with fisherman, and simply enjoy the beauties of life.
The Blue Lake is an undeveloped land and much of this land has never been developed for human purpose. The land is now for sale and four groups of citizen are competing for control of the land. So each lab group will choose one of the four interest groups (business partners, developers, environmentalists, and neighbors) and explain their reason why it is best for that particular group to take over the land. As for my group, we choose to be the neighbors. Our purpose is to develop a small community where people can easily access to the things they need. What we want to include in the land are grocery store, downtown where all the stores and health clinic are, a small police station, homes, solar panels, park and trails, log cabins, hiking, climbing, etc. And something we want to exclude is we want to cut down some trees because we need space for the log cabins. We want a nice community where people can do outdoors activities and enjoy nature.
Every day I go for a run through the same neighborhood, passing the same schools, and seeing the same people. Until one autumn afternoon, I changed my trail and route and started running around parts of the nine miles of White Rock Lake. This lake has been five minutes from my house since I was a kid, and I would always see people running with their dogs and friends or others in kayaks, but since I’ve gone back as an adult my perspective has changed about the lake I once took for granted.
When we first built our resort along Lake Atitlan in Guatemala, we faced several challenges. First and foremost, we wanted to create a resort that would be beautiful enough to fit the natural beauty found on the lake. This is not an easy task when the lake itself is made up of waters that seem to be surreal and it is surrounded by majestic looking mountains. Our second task was figuring out how to keep the guests comfortable. This meant ensuring they had all of the luxuries of home, which is not always easy when the power supply in this area is not always reliable. It is why we have invested a lot of our time in searching through an endless amount of home generator reviews. It is why our guests enjoy only the best when other parts of Lake Atitlan may be suffering without power.
