Linda A. Hill Linda Hill is a professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School. She holds a Ph.D. in Behavioral Science from the University of Chicago and her M.A. in Education Psychology, also from the University of Chicago. Hill, is the faculty chair of the Leadership Initiative for Harvard Business School. She co-authored with Kent Lineback, “Being the Boss: The 3 Imperatives of Becoming a Great Leader. Which basically teaches managers to manage themselves first; then their network and finally their team. Hill was named in the top ten thinkers, because she was not just smart, she knew her craft. She became obsessed with the question, “what do exceptional leaders of innovation do?” (Casciaro, 2015). She realized while doing her interviews and research that to be and to become a great manager, leaders needed to be behind the scenes. Leaders need to build trust; they need to build a team and build a strong network for future goals (Hill & Lineback, 2015). As a manager, I will continue to learn from those around me.
