Summary
In this poem that paints a picture of how it can be when the fight is over. When we lower our weapons and stop reaching for them and look at the outcome of the fight. This poem is telling us to stop looking at war but to look at the peace that we can have and brings us hope.

She wrote an autobiography, books of poetry, children books, religious books and cookbooks. She also loved to sing and dance. She lived and participated in the civil right movements and in 1993 read the poem "On the Pulse of the Morning" for President Bill Clinton 's inauguration.
