On August 6, 1945 the United States deployed the first atomic bomb over Japanese cities Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Once the United States dropped the atomic bomb there has been a lot of comments whether or not it was the right move to do. I believe that it was justified for the United States to drop the atomic bomb on Japan however, it did have some cons to it. The reason behind dropping the first atomic bomb was to stop the war. Although it roughly killed around 60,00 people in Hiroshima and 35,000 in Nagasaki. If they didn’t drop that bomb the war could have claimed more lives than the atomic bomb dropping.

Overall the decision to bomb Japan was the right decision. It saved many American and Japanese lives, ended the war quickly, and allowed America to get its revenge on Japan from what happened at Pearl

1) There are many opinions for the reasons the atomic bomb should have been used in the destruction of Japan. The bombing of Pearl Harbor in December of 1941 certainly helped make the decision to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The bombing of Pearl Harbor destroyed the U.S.S. Arizona and killed over 2000 Americans. As quoted by President Harry S Truman,” The atom bomb was no “great decision”.

In year 1945 august 6, and 9, America dropped two nuclear weapons on the Japanese cities Hiroshima and Nagasaki respectively. Those two bombs brought severe damages to these two cities including over 200,000 innocent lives. Many people believe that Japan deserve to be bombed due to many reasons, primarily because Japan first attacked United States at Pearl Harbor. However, it is still wrong and unnecessary for United States to drop two bombs respectively on Hiroshima and Nagasaki as the two bombs not only bring destructions to Japan, but also cause further fears and chaos to the whole world.

They dropped a second one known as "Fat Man" three days later on Nagasaki. When the first successful atomic bombs were developed by the Americans, they did not hesitate in dropping the bombs on Japan. Since then, the event has become a very controversial issue over whether or not the US was justified in dropping the bombs. But the fact is that they were not; there were alternatives to the attack, they attack violated international war laws,and they had unforeseen long term effects, As a result, the attacks were not justified.

The U.S. dropped an A-Bomb on Hiroshima, Japan on August 6, 1945 and another on Nagasaki, Japan 3 days later. The Japanese Army and Government already knew they were going to lose the war, but they didn’t want to surrender immediately because they feared having harsh punishments and reparations like those of the Treaty of Versailles. Sure, there could have been other options that might not have as many deaths, but there is no guarantee that there would be success in ending the war. Historians on the opposing side of this debate say that there were too many Japanese civilian deaths and that the Japanese didn’t kill as many American civilians. This may be true but if the US would have used plan B which could have been a large invasion similar to D-Day, more casualties would have been caused. The dropping of the atomic bomb on Nagasaki and Hiroshima in 1945 by the Americans is a very controversial issue with no definite answer. Both sides of the issue have very justifiable arguments. Reasons for dropping the bomb include the fact that Truman’s options were limited at this point in the war, that the bomb did have the desired outcome of Japans surrender and that the majority of reasons America had for dropping the bomb are justifiable. In 1945 The US army dropped an atomic bomb on japan but some people think we shouldn't have dropped the bomb on japan. I believe that we should have dropped that atomic bomb on japan. My three reasons why are that it saved many of millions of lives, ended WW2 fast, and because japan bombed pearl harbor.

The decision to use the atomic bomb was not an easy one to make, and there is still debate about it even today. Historians, Scientist, and military advisors all have diverse opinions on the dropping of the atomic bomb. Varying from, it should be dropped to bring an end to the war with Japan, to it is inhumane to use such a power weapon on the Japanese military. Having so many diverse opinions on the newest found weapon, made the decision difficult for President Truman. There is no found proof that the war would have ended shortly after if it hadn’t been dropped. It was an uncertain factor on what would happen if the bomb wasn’t dropped, as well as what would happen if it was dropped.

The Atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki is a controversial subject. Manu people belive the Atomic bomb was morally wrong, backing up their statement with they should of showed them a video of the Atomic bomb and showing the destruction it causes and it was unnecessary. I a knowledge and understanding their point of view but I disagree with it. I do belive the Atomic bomb was necessary, the Japanese military had a million soldiers, 3,000 air crafts and 5,000 boats avaliable to defend homeland. Plus is the United states wouldn't have used the Atomic bomb the Japanese would use more air raids causing more USA soldiers deaths and operation netting house would be in play which was 2nd choice from the Atomic bomb and it would have killed more

Although dropping the Atomic Bomb was detrimental to a group of Japanese citizens, it saved many American lives and ultimately ended the war. If the American Army tried to make a land attack against the Japanese they would have lost many American lives, and possibly many more Japanese lives. And there would have been a possibility of many more years of fighting. Also the Japanese were given fair warning, on July 26 the Japanese were given the chance to surrender known as the Potsdam Declaration. Even though many people see the dropping of the Atomic bomb as a good thing, many people were against it because it cost many civilians their lives.
