Intro: From the beginning of eighth grade to the Living History night. The project was challenging, but I enjoyed spending time and completing a project on one of my role models. Over this entire year and the great time I spent with my grandfather, Ray McClure, I found the opportunity to learn about past history of my grandfather. Although the project was tough and I thought I knew a lot about my grandfather, I learned much more than I expected of a lifetime of interests, experiences, and tough times my grandfather overcame to be the man he is today. Creating a better bond with my grandfather allows me to better understand him. I learned how he grew and how he became who he is today. As I created the better bond now I know more about him so I can now better communicate with my grandfather. So whenever I talk with him I can understand his stories he tells to me about how he lived back when there was no technology and how you actually had to work back then. His history shaped who my grandfather is today and how he acts today. From the Living History project my favorite part was creating a better bond between me and my grandfather. Board Design: As my board came out I think I did a good job on my board my grandfather was pleased and proud of what I accomplished from all the work we did. A theme I can make from this project is all the hard work put into the project is worth it. The time spent on the project is worth not only the grade, but also having your participant smile while reading the writing presented on my board. I was glad to see he was not disappointed with what I accomplished, which was my goal for him to be proud. Living History Night
