Hi, Alexis Mackenzie Smith is the name. I was born on February 1st 2004 in the state of Nebraska. I am currently 11 years old and live in Richland, Michigan. I am in middle school at Gull Lake, and I have had one heck of a life! From living in different states. The one sport that people normally don’t think is a sport. How could I forget my family!
Education, family, and friends have always been my number one, but there's more of a story to tell. My family contains four members, my father John, my mother Dana, and my sister Hailey. My dad works for the military, Air force. He does a big favor to our country and I am proud to be his daughter. My mom Dana, is a CNA at Heritage nursing home. She wants to start her own photography business. My

When people think of cheer think of things like “Give me s!” or “Goooo team!” things like that, but it's really not, there is so much more to it, like conditioning for four hours, what you call flips, I call tumbling, we also throw people up about twenty feet in the air and catch them when they come back down, no joke. Scary, but it’s the life of being a cheerleader. I also really enjoy drawing. I like to come up with things to draw and my mind takes me from there. I also like to run but i’m not a cross country person. I enjoy running for fun.
Everyone thinks Alaska is always cold, even in summer. Well you thought wrong! In the winter it’s cold, yes, very, very cold. But in the summer, Alaska gets warm, like in the eighties. Yes you can go swimming, and yes you can wear shorts. Hawaii is a group of beautiful islands known as, Big Island, Maui, Oahu, Kauai, Molokai, Lanai, Niihau, and Kahoolawe. I remember my parents getting married on the island of Oahu. I was really young. I was born in Omaha, Nebraska. I do not remember much about it though.
This concludes the story of me! My hobbies, my family , the places i’ve lived and visited. All of this is very true just ask my parents! I really do hope you enjoy the story of my life! Stay tuned, I will hopefully return with a update on my life. Sooner or later I will, I
Being a cheerleader to me isn’t just about cheering on the football or basketball team. Cheerleading is more than that. Cheerleading is a group of girls who have the passion and the trust with each other to catch them and trust that they will do their part. Cheerleading are being a family and not being able to have your own space. Priorities of cheerleading are; making your toes pointed, having a good attitude, making great facial expressions, and having those little girls that look up to you, have a great role model. These are just some reasons why I love to
Cheerleading is a sport that many people don’t support in a way that they support the popular sports in most schools, like football and basketball. Cheering can open many doors and create an ample amount of job opportunities. By cheering you can also receive full ride athletic scholarships from many schools. A cute skirt and pompoms is not the only thing you have to work for when it comes to cheering. Just as any other sport you have to have a certain grade point average to try out for your cheerleading team and also you are held accountable for maintaining your grade point average with also being held accountable for remembering cheers, games day dates and events that you will have to attend with your team. Cheer teaches you many things other than being able to tumble and shout! As a cheerleader, you learn to encourage anyone that needs that boost of encouragement, we learn how to work together with other people. Your cheer team members will become your family!
While there are some aspects of dancing and gymnastics involved, the purpose is to cheer at sporting events, not to be an event itself. Although it is not a sport, it is worthy of praise on its merits as entertainment. Much thanks to cheerleaders, fans come to support their friends and school in the event of competitions.
The competitive sport of cheerleading is not all about jumping up and down and yelling “Go team, go!”. It’s about using your strength to perform a variety of skills that form together to make a routine. These routines are performed by many teams to be judged during competitions. Practice is required to do well at competitions. In order to become a cheerleader, you need to have tumbling skills, endurance, and flexibility.
You have been training all summer. You have been in the weight room almost every day and wake up so sore you can barely walk. You give encouraging words to your teammates and pump them up right before a game. You are tough and fearless when you take the field. You strive to do your best and want to win. How would you feel if every time you took that field your peers didn’t believe in you and did not respect your sport? Cheerleaders go to the gym and work just as hard as other athletes do, and are not receiving any credit. This makes us frustrated and let down. There are many aspects of cheer that people are unaware of. Being a cheerleader, you have to be able to tumble, stunt, be competitive, have teamwork, and most of all dedication. Cheerleading is a sport because it is physically demanding, requires teamwork, and is very competitive.
Hawaii has great weather all year long. In the summer it tends to be a drier season and in the winter it’s a wetter season. And since there’s always great climate you can do plenty of activities. Hawaii has awesome beaches and beautiful oceans and that’s the main reason I would love to visit Hawaii. I would go scuba diving so I could be able to see fishes, turtles, dolphins, and any other animal living in the ocean and being able
Similar to all other “real sports,” you have to have a sense of coordination. Cheer isn’t all about standing there to look pretty. It involves strength, stamina, balance, and timing (reasons). To make sure they have all of these things, cheerleaders condition. Conditioning usually consist of some type of squats, running, v-ups, planks, and more. According to one of the elements brought up by the Women’s Sports Foundation, a sport is a physical activity that involves throwing something overcoming the resistance of mass (being). Some stunts include throwing a person up in the air. This is an example of throwing something, or someone, to overcome the resistance of mass.
Every cheerleader gets fired up when someone tries to argue with them that cheerleading is not a sport. Whether it’s a football player, a teacher, or a even friend who doesn’t understand why you’re not involved in something else. Cheerleaders just want people to know that being a cheerleader does make you an athlete! Cheerleading is a sport due to the athleticism and flexibility needs to be apart of this well known activity. Many may say it does not take a lot of effort to smile and wave your hands in the air while yelling ,"Go team!" But what really stresses cheerleaders out is that people don't see all the bruises, hard work and dedication they put in behind that beautiful smile they put on for their team. Not only do cheerleaders get tossed in the air and lift other cheerleaders, they also compete and do it all with a smile. Cheerleading might seem easy to some, but once people see what goes on at practice, their opinions usually change.
Lots of people say that cheer is not an sport and they don't need cheerleaders but we don't need football or basketball ether. Cheerleaders do not have to have a uniform, they can be other people in your life. You see if you were a doctor you will help people healthy. If you were a nurse you will give people shots. If you were an astronaut you will help decover thing. These people are all cheerleaders like, Samuel L Jackson, Albert Einstein, Walt Disney, Dr. Seuss are all cheerleader. Cheer is all about the positive side. Cheerleaders job is to inspire, support and electrify. Any fool can feel good when you’re winning but when you're down 75 points in the 4th quarter that’s when you ask you’re self you are you going to call.
Cheer isn’t just a sport it’s like a second family. You learn many hardworking and problem-solving skills. You also learn how to fail and get back up from it. It’s not just mentally, it’s physically you condition and become stronger.
Overall, athletes are people who dedicate all they have, to become the optimum in their sport. People push themselves to strive for greatness in competition against others. Cheerleading in the competitive level show all of this. They practice till the cannot practice anymore, they sacrifice having a normal teenage life thus they can win competitions. Cheerleaders are athletes by all the industrious work the put forth. Cheer is furthermore than just a sport for them it becomes their life and that it was they live
When asked what your favorite sport is, there are a variety of different responses given. One of the most common responses would likely be football. Every year people gather on Super Bowl Sunday to watch one of the worlds most loved sports. The only acknowledgment they give to the cheerleaders, who cheer on the sideline of every football game, is that they have pretty faces with tiny cute outfits. Cheerleading would most likely be the last “activity” someone would name as one of their favorite sports, let alone even being considered a sport (Collier, 2009, pg.1). This is because when people think of cheerleading they automatically think of the sideline cheerleaders at the football games such as, the Super Bowl. They have no idea that there is a whole other side to cheer which is, competitive cheerleading. The annual Cheerleading Worlds, where the best of the best competitive cheer teams compete, has even been called
When most people are asked this question they always say the obvious family, friendship, and most likely one of their personal hobbies. While family and friends are very important to me I want to talk about something different. The things that matter the most to me are music and time. Music means the world to me. To be more specific hip-hop music. The genre of music was there for me when no one else was. Growing up without a father hip-hop taught me life lessons that I was never taught. The likes of Tupac Shakur, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West were the men that acted as my father figures. They taught me how to deal with twenty-first century racism, aspiring for more, and how to deal with a similar lifestyle that we all lived. Though people say
She cheered in her last two year of high school, and gymnastics, or “tumbling” is a major part of cheering, especially for competition. Although she is no longer cheerleading, she still goes to gymnastics training sessions because it offers her the opportunity to know how to do things that most people cannot do. Charity loves stretching and working to master a slip, and just knowing what strength she has and what amazing things she is capable of. She also believes that Gymnastics is great way to stay active and develop
Hawaii has a nice climate and the humidity is also not too bad there. It’s nice, sunny, and has many nice places to go filled with culture and fresh air. Hawaii is a popular tourist place and has many attractions, such as
