Interestingly, there are two layers of radioactive sediment at the bottom. While one is from the Chernobyl disaster, the other one has an unknown origin (“Loch Ness Water Facts & Info”). The average water temperature is quite cold at only 42° Fahrenheit. The water of the Loch Ness is very murky (Harmsworth). “The water of the loch is the color of very weak tea and this is caused by peat staining” (Harmsworth). The dark, clouded water of Loch Ness, however, may hide a monster within it. The Loch Ness monster is the main reason that Loch Ness is so well known. The Loch Ness monster is also known as Nessie to the public (“Loch Ness.” Brewer’s). While Nessie has many different descriptions from people who allegedly spotted it, there are many common parts. This includes flippers, one or two humps, a broad and tapering tail, and a long and slim neck. It is also supposedly a dinosaur-like reptile. It also resembles a manatee or a seal as well (Cohen). Whether Nessie is real or not, many people have reported sightings of it. Maybe make this a little longer Sightings of the Loch Ness monster have been reported since the 6th century. Its earliest description was recorded in 565 A.D. (Cohen). A man known as Saint Columba reportedly was …show more content…
On the final day of his monster hunting trip, he was driving along the road in the morning when he spotted a lump-like object on the surface of the water. When he looked through his binoculars, he noticed it was a mahogany colored oval shape with a dark spot on the left side. He then got out his camera and recorded four minutes of black and white film showing the lump swimming towards shore leaving a v-shaped wake behind. He showed this to the Royal Air Force who then determined it was most likely an animate object, or part of a living creature (“The Loch Ness Monster”). However, after his death, his friends finally admitted it was really a boat he
There’s an extreme number of books and films released every year. From this considerable list of entertainment there will most likely be mythical monsters. The Odyssey is a story that has many mystical monsters you would even have thought could be imagined. Out of all the movies and books ever made, there are many monsters that have been created. I discovered my monster by watching a horror film. “Tasty, tasty, beautiful fear”, this is a quote from a monster in a recent movie.
People go out and try to find evidence that Bigfoot real. According to Live Science in their article called Bigfoot Vandalizes a Winnebago and Other Questionable Claims they stated, “In October 2011. Bigfoot researcher and biologist John Bindernagel visited western Siberia to examine evidence of the Yeti (the Russian version of Bigfoot). He claimed to have found evidence that the creature broke trees and branches. ‘Twisted trees like this have also been observed in North America and they could fit with the theory that Bigfoot makes a nest.’ Bindernagel said in an interview with the British tabloid ‘The Sun’”. John Bindernagel is one of the many people that go out and study if Bigfoot is real or not and has gathered information about how the thing is damage and that no other animal can do that that live in the area so that he concluded that this could have been a creature that leads to Bigfoot. People have seen Bigfoot people who said they won’t believe it until they see it and now that they see if they can’t stop thinking about it and join in the
In other words, a legend is a story that could have been told recently or millions of years ago and may not be proven true. The legend of Bigfoot fits the definition of a legend because we may have the evidence to back up Bigfoot’s existence but there has yet to be any solid proof discovered that this species actually exists. As told in the story about Gerald Crew, some people create large footprints for the attention of the media. Although the evidence we have been given has not been proven true yet, there are still many people looking to find the true answer to whether or not Bigfoot is a real creature or just another
Nessie’s story begins from the first century A.D, when Romans first went to Northern Scotland and found carved, standing stones (which are still found in the region around Loch Ness) that represented animals, which were all easily recognizable, except one.
Bigfoot has become an influence to American children for decades. Bigfoot (or “Sasquatch”) is a tall, dark haired cryptid humanoid. With the mystery and merchandise, many believe that Bigfoot is real. Unfortunately, many believe that the furry beast is simply a hoax. Based on countless discoveries, Bigfoot has existed at some point. Considering the proof presented by dedicated Bigfoot scientists and fans, it would seem ignorant to totally debunk the controversial topic of Bigfoot. Perhaps people are not digging deep enough to actually find the creature. It all started when Bigfoot was captured on film for the first time by Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin. In the year of 1967, the two men were out in a remote mountainous location in Northern California. After Patterson heard about the tracks found near Bluff Creek, he was determined to make a documentary about the mysteries of the Sasquatch. Buoyant, he rented a 16mm movie camera and went to the area in question with his comrade, Bob Gimlin. He caught the beast on camera casually strolling through an open clearing, staring at Patterson filming while continuing to walk. The film became known as the Patterson-Gimlin film. According to Animal Planet, "The Patterson-Gimlin film is widely regarded as one of the strongest pieces of evidence for the existence of Sasquatches,” (“The Patterson-Gimlin footage”). Throughout
Bigfoot’s legend has evolved over the years cause there are more sightings of Bigfoot and more evidence on what it is and where it has come from.

I have never really visited Bear Lake a whole lot, but when I did go there it was to visit friends and fish I think. From what I know, I believe that the stories about the monster in the lake came around in the 1800’s when the pioneers were over there trying to get things built. The settlers who were there during that time, claimed that the lake monster was capable of eating cattle, and had reported that a few of their cattle had been eaten by the monster when the cattle were being sent down to the lake to get water. However, I don’t think that there were any reports of people being eaten by it, so it must have only preferred the cows that came down to water, and figured that they were easy to
A lot of the stories came from native americans from the northwest. Some of these tribes who lived near Mount St. Helens told of giant ape men who on occasion came down from the mountain and stole fish right from the nets of fishermen. Could these ape men be the ancestors of the creatures we are looking for today, or just a silly excuse used by fishermen who came home empty handed? As time went on the stories changed to show the mountain creatures as horrible cannibals who were even blamed for murders among tribes. Stories differed from tribe to tribe(“bigfoot”).
The Montauk Monster was the body of a dead animal that was found in Montauk, New York by Jenna Hewitt and three friends on July 12, 2008. It was a naked, bloated beast that appeared to have a beak. It both disturbed and intrigued the world, because no animal had been seen like it before.
It was four feet in length and first they thought it might be a crocodile. Nevertheless, over the next year, at the tender age of 12, Mary painstakingly uncovered the rest of it, to discover a giant marine reptile called the 'ichthyosaurus'.
Although the specifics of Bigfoot may be vague, almost every culture has had its own stories regarding the human-like creatures that roam the world.
The Loch ness monster myth has been around for a very long time. Deep down in the depths of Loch Ness Lake, this monster has been averting capture and clear documentation from humans for over 80 years. Sounds ridiculous doesn’t it? This myth is a lot like the legend of Bigfoot. Although some may believe in the existence of Bigfoot, Bigfoot is not real because there is a lack of evidence, other theories, and it overall just isn’t logical. Therefore, Bigfoot is fake.
Montana’s Flathead Lake Monster is said to be roaming around the cold lake and swims at the highest point of the lake creating giant wave leaving the other part of the river calm. Foreigners told the earliest americans about the 25 foot monster and for more than half a century the monster has been known.
