As a future Virginia Tech graduate, I aspire to further my education by attending Blank MBA program and adding a concentration in sports management. I feel that as a double major in Finance and Management, I have obtained knowledge to not only manage money but people as well. While completing my undergraduate studies, I have worked jobs that require me to work with teams, as well as seperately to complete a certain objective. Additionally I worked with multiple Point of Sale Systems giving me tremendous knowledge with computers and technology. In my previous job, I handled stocking, shelving and ordering the required materials for the week. In addition to the duty, I had to keep a detailed record for monthly expenses allowing me to work directly with the mangement office.
At the Introduction to PD workshop I identified two broad reasons why I decided to pursue my MBA. The first was to develop my competence as a manager. The second and more important reason was to advance my career by making myself more marketable. The experience on IU’s campus was unforgettable and is one of the main reasons I hope to attend IU.
