My long-term goal with my college education is to complete my Bachelor's degree and eventually continue on to receive my Master’s degree in criminal justice. The first step to complete my long-term goal is receiving my Associate’s degree in criminal justice by May 2017. This goal is specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely.
Long-term goal I see myself in a apartment or a house with 2 dogs and 1 cat The career i want to have is to be a veterinarian. It is important to me because have been wanting to do this job for a long time ever since i was 4 It provides
My second goal specifically is to get a position in the human resources department with my current employer within the next six months. Gaining a position in the human resources department puts me one step closer to achieving my long-term goal of becoming a human resource manager. The goal is measurable because I plan to apply to any position I see posted in the human resources department that interest me and align with my professional goals. The goal is attainable because I have access to our job postings website and I plan to check this website for updates at least twice per week. This is a reasonable goal because I sometimes have downtime at work, which would allow me to use that time to search for new postings and even apply. This goal is time-bound because I gave myself a deadline of six months to achieve it. With my updated resume, experience and now my current course of study at Western Governors University, it makes me a desirable candidate for a position in HR.
In my community, I volunteer immensely with the 4-H and FFA youth in Pima County and Arizona. I am a cavy judge at local shows throughout the year, as well as a certified shooting sports leader to teach 4-H members safe shooting techniques with rifles. I was also given the opportunity to volunteer with Future Farmer of America student members through my sorority, Sigma Alpha. I will be volunteering with the Meat Evaluation CDE at the State CDE Day, and have applied to be a Camp Counselor at the Arizona State FFA Camp held at Camp Shadow Pines in Herber, Arizona in June. Volunteering with youth involved in agriculture has allowed me to give back to a community that gave me so much during my youth. 4-H transformed me into the young woman I am

Long Term Success as a Graduate Student Organizations, groups, churches, etc. all have a vision and mission. As a graduate student, I have come up with a vision and mission statement that are motivational in my success. My vision as a MHA student in graduate education at Belhaven University is to remain curious, creative and a thinker who will remain courageous as I develop the servant leadership knowledge offered, that will allow me the opportunity to be a valuable Healthcare leader who can work both independently and collaboratively. I will face many challenges with an open mind and seek answers and ways to improve the changing arena of Health Care. As a graduate student I would like to expand my knowledge and my discovery of the health
Short or long term goals In one of the stories called Making Kids Work on Goals, Sue Shellenbarger has evidence of students wanting to achieve their goals at younger ages. “42% of students ages 10 to 18 say they are energetically pursing their goals 35% Strongly believe they can find ways around problems that may arise and 53% say they are hopeful for their future”. In another story called Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams, Randy Pausch talks about how childhood dreams can come true and that it feels even better to help people accomplish their childhood dreams. “And as you get older, you may find that ‘enabling the dreams of others’ is even more fun” Now is it better to have short term or long term goals for a dream job, short term works better because of how long term goals seem to affect people.
My primary career goal is to become a physician practicing evidence-based medicine in making treatment decisions with patients. This, combined with my longstanding passion for genetics, prompted my MS application with hopes of developing an understanding for genetics, which I believe will maintain relevance and importance in the medical field throughout my lifetime. Within an understanding of research contributing to evidence-based medicine, in contrast to current practice-based research, I would especially like to investigate the role of epigenetics in diseased states.
My short-terms goals all lead to my long-term goals. By the end of my senior year, my main priority, like any other senior, is to wear my cap and gown, walk across the stage, and receive my high school diploma. To accomplish this goal, I must continue excelling in school with all A’s and maintaining my diligent study skills. I also need to take as many dual enrollment courses at Clayton State University as possible in order to shorten my time in college. After graduating, the next leading goal is to get accepted into either Emory University or University of Georgia, but preferably Emory. Should Emory accept me, then I definitely need to apply to and receive scholarships like Gates Millennium and Zell Miller, for example. In addition, I desire to preserve my current rank as the salutatorian. Perhaps if I persevere more, then I could possibly graduate as the valedictorian. To do this, I can always study harder and receive tutoring about topics I do not completely comprehend. Also, somewhere along the lines, I hope that can obtain a job as a
2. What are your specific career goals for the future? How does this scholarship fit into your plans to achieve these goals?
Professional Goals: I still have a little time left to figure out what grade it is that I want to teach. I’m honestly lost in this because I most enjoy working with college level student, but I absolutely love elementary level children as well. Over the past few years, I have worked here at Lone Star College under a few different titles. I was offered a job while taking a 1302 English class. The next semester, I began to work in developmental classes. I have supported several different English class along with some Educt classes as well. It has been my job to tailor the information that the professor has covered to meet the needs of my students, and I’ve become quite good at this. I am currently a Level III Master English tutor, and the Peer
A long-term personal goal that I have always had for myself is to graduate high school with my academic honors and technical honors diplomas, to get it I had to work my butt off. I had always studied for every test, made sure to at least receive a B or higher on any assignment. The hard work has paid off now because that is the path that I am on now to receiving a diploma. I had a lot of barriers though, like probation and family losses, but I made sure just to focus on me and know that life always goes on and I should
* What has led you to pursue this undergraduate degree? I’ve always had a passion for children. When I was little I use to always want to work in a day care. When I got my first childcare job, I realized I loved kids and wanted to do more that just work at a daycare. I felt that I would learn a lot from this degree, so that it would benefit me in my new found loved career. Having this undergraduate degree will help me strive in the direction that I would like to go in life.
Recently in a moment of personal reflection, I thought to myself, I have a strong passion and desire to live a life dedicated to helping other people. Conversely, I always wanted to play a larger role in helping people. I took pride in learning new experiences throughout my employment history. One of my short term professional goals is to become a leader with an executive position at a department in one of the top New York State Hospitals. Through my years as a front line staff member, I understood how it feels to have low employee morale. I understood what it was like to feel that the administration does not understand the everyday stress that their staff face. My experience would only advance my leadership skills. I am open to listen to
