Love is an interesting idea to analyse because it is such a broad topic. We can love a range of things from pets, to places, to people. We can also have different relationships that involve love: it can be between a family, or a certain group of people, or maybe just that one special person. Online, there are a lot of different definitions for it. Love has quite a lot of different aspects and from this concept; we can contrast these differences between several texts. The objective throughout this speech is to look at the similarities and differences between the different aspects of love portrayed in the poems Winter Song by Elizabeth Tollet and The Forsaken Wife by Elizabeth Thomas.
