Love. We cannot see, we cannot taste and we cannot feel it yet it is one of the most powerful things in the world. Love can come as softly as a feather falling down from the air on a colorful louisiana street after Mardi Gras or as hard as eggs hitting the side of a house on Halloween. This four letter word has so much power over the mental sanity of a being and can break a being down to their core. There is no finite definition of love for it is different among all. Love is one of the most universal things because love does not discriminate. It can happen to all or none. Being the only boy he was over glorified and forgiven for most of his life by his father. The two girls, Amanda and Christine, were a year apart and stellar students but received no recognition. Samantha herself was forced by Devin to quit her job at the hospital as a doctor because of the children, even though she was sure it was of status and jealousy. As bad as Samantha’s situation sounds, one thing keeps her going. And it is the guy at the coffee shop. She did not know his name but they had exchanged a few words. By her understanding, he was a sweet, 6 foot tall, blonde haired man who seemed genuinely excited to see her every morning. Now, Samantha was a beautiful, vibrant woman. She had beautiful red curls that framed her freckled face. She was 5 foot 11 and had curves in all of the right places. Even being 44 years old, she looked 22. And every morning she felt that way when she walked into that cafe and saw his smile widen as she walked in. He looked at her with such lust and joy that her heart skipped a beat when he looked at her. But on March 10th of 2016, they had more than an exchange of words. She woke up at 5 in the morning with the same skip in her step as she does every morning. Today she decided to dress down and to take her computer and online shop. She put her hair in a messy bun, put her glasses on, a big sweatshirt, some sweatpants and headed out the door. Through life, people experience many kinds of love. Many people often believe they love someone, when they actually do not because they may not know what the word means. As much as we want to understand love, it is still simply indescribable. As C.S. Lewis tries to explain it in his book, The Four Loves, it is still a mystery as to what love truly means. I believe in order to know what love means, one must experience it. It is quite true that went two individuals are in love with each other, they know it and can feel it. No matter how much love is studied and looked at, every individual must experience it to understand it. Along with this love lies circumstances which lead

There are numerous connotations that refer to this emotion, but there is only one kind of love that can make a person change completely in unexpected ways. Love exists in the short story “The Bear Came Over the Mountain” by Alice Munro and in the short story “What We Talk About When We Talk About Love” by Raymond Carver. in Munro’s short story the plot is that of a mentally ill wife, Fiona, who falls in love with another patient while her husband still tries to hang on to their old love. Her husband eventually wants to have an affair with the wife of the man his wife is having an affair with. Their love changed because of their circumstances due to ill health. Carver’s story discusses the different definitions of love due to the type and quality of relationships; everyone has a different definition. Love also exists all over the world within different environments and cultures. The concept of love depends upon the environment in which it inhabits. Love is dependent on the life of the people in love and it also depends on their current environment. Nature and nurture are also huge factors into the development and process of love. What nature and nurture mean is whether it is due to how the person lives and acts along with their personality compared to whether it’s all in their genetics beforehand. Love is more on the nurture side instead of the nature side of human experience.

Love is one of the most powerful forces in the world, and one of the most difficult to describe. It is one of those emotions that words do not seem to justify a person may feel it, but may not be able to explain it. However, that does not mean that people do not know that love is out there. Many people believe that everyone has one true love somewhere in the world, and spend their lives searching for that person. Love is not difficult to find though. It exists in many forms, including love between family members, friends, different races, and even the love for oneself, both in the novel Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe by Frannie Flagg and in one's own life. The first and most basic form of love is found in the family.

Love; how much is hiding in these four letters, people all over the world love each other. Love is a great power which makes life so important. I think that without love, people can not live in this world. Some people have already met love. When I was growing up, I was always told that there is someone in this beautiful world for everyone, and I never seemed to believe it. I had been heart crushed by a guy I thought I loved, so ever since then, I thought true love could not be real. I always dreamed of a relationship in movies with the perfect couple walking by the ocean together, holding hands so tight that there are no spaces between their fingers, and always thought to myself, “When will I find love like that?” One day, though, when I
While people are often able to identify when they feel the emotion love, love itself seems to defy definition. In her polemic “Against Love”, Laura Kipnis argues that love cannot exist as traditional expressions of love such as marriage, monogamy, and mutuality. However, in her argument, she defines love incorrectly by equating love to expressions of love. This definition lacks a component essential to understanding the abstract concept of love: emotion. Recognizing love as emotion helps us realize that, contrary to Kipnis’ argument love by nature transcends all expressions of love. Love is subjective and exists in any and all forms. In her argument that love cannot survive as conventional expressions of love, Kipnis ignores the nature of love as emotion in favor of equating love to different expressions of love. Love is a force which exists above expressions of love; a true understanding of love can only come from an assessment of how individuals, not societies, respond to the emotion.
Love is complicated, complex notion. It is not necessarily roses and chocolates, or “rainbows and butterflies” as the Maroon Five song says. It is the subject of art, music, films and literature.
Love is one of the strongest bonds that keep any number of humans together. This bond, combined with our natural instinct to cooperate with each other is the strongest by far one of the strongest bonds that almost nothing can break. Love stories can be one of the most complicated to describe, and once two people establish the bond of love the need to cooperate with each other no matter what falls apart in the relationship can never be broken. Ha Jin depicts a story very similar to this in his novel Waiting.
